"The staff were very friendly and tried their best. However, a recent storm (two weeks before) had devastated half of the hotel, destroying the kitchen and dining area and removing several roofs. When we arrived, the hotel looked like a bombsite with debris everywhere which was quite unsafe. A basic breakfast was offered in an empty bedroom in a make-shift kitchen. We were awaken every morning with the sound of hammering and construction in the next rooms. The rooms had functioning ACS, but the windows had no glass only mosquito nets to it was difficult to sleep. Essentially, great location, friendly staff, but hotel should not be open until the major repairs had been conducted."

"I just want to say our welcome to Konokono Beach Resort and Isaraya was one of the Kingly Experience too bad we had to spend just a night evening and morning. The General manager was so professional and very understanding. My wife did not want to leave this place. If you are looking for serenity, quite and privacy. This is definetly the place you wanna be in. Very big shout out to all the staffs these guys are five star experts and they treat all guests with the same energy and kindness. Most importantly Bernad, Jackson and Agness and the other young lady was the best. Konokono you are fortunate and lucky to have such a great personnel. I got so much but let just finalise by saying that i am very pleased."

"A truly magical holiday with great attentive staff, Nitin and his team really looked after us. The resort is set in a very natural surrounding and there is lots of opportunity to catch the wildlife in action (including cheeky monkeys!). Pool was great for long swims, fitness centre was very well equipped. The food was immaculate! Both the lunch and dinner menu amazed us every time we dined. Evening entertainment was very entertaining! I recommend you go for all inclusive, full board or at a minimal half board. "

"Great facilities, very nice staff, various new food every day. The only remark is the beach which witnesses a very high tide, so swimming is impossible in the morning till around 2PM. But you can use this time to visit the island. Other than that, everyone is helpful and attends to your needs. Definitely recommend."

"This is an idyllic, quiet, adults only hotel. The rooms are lovely and modern with air conditioning. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the 4 course a La carte dinner is outstanding with lots of choice and variety. The location is right on the white Sandy beach with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend. "

"Firstly, the employees are great and very helpful! The hotel is right on the beach, and close to other beach hotels, and restaurants. Easy access to kite surfing, scuba, and jet skis. You can also walk out what seems to be a mile into the ocean without having to swim. Beautiful beach! Having got the larger suite, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony were 10/10. The entrance room however was a little dirty, and the amenities, were a little dated. The couch is definitely not to be slept on either. However, having seen my friends single room booking, I would probably choose that next time instead! The restaurant on the facility is great, the coffee/ smoothie bar is 10/10 and the food is also never a miss. The view from the bar and restaurant are also a perfect place to relax and unwind. There are people offering massages, Masai handicrafts, and other locally made items on the beach, (they are not overbearing, and very polite) The walk from the facility to the Main Street is a bit odd at night, however I wouldn't skip it! The Zanzibar people are friendly, and mean you no harm! (just bring a flashlight as it is dark.) There is a small food court right next to the mosque, with familiar foods. But my favorite food the whole trip was actually from the street vendors just down the road! I would definitely stay here again!"
