Dear Stuart & Hala, We very much enjoyed having you to stay and glad we managed the room upgrade for you but it’s unfortunate that you weren’t completely happy and we weren’t aware. We always hope that our promotion gives prospective guests the correct impression of our personal bed and breakfast style accommodation. Most guests seem to very much enjoy our dining area (which extends out onto the balcony when the weather is warm enough) and breakfast choices and that they are in part of our home but it looks like you were after a more private experience for your stay so maybe we weren’t the best choice for this trip. The balcony / garden areas around the apartment are not promoted as completely private in that we may walk past to the washing line and garden but we find many guests enjoy this as a chance to interact and we think we usually manage to work out the level of interaction a guest is looking for and surprised that walking past was a problem. We do enjoy having a place for us, and guests, to dry washing outside and really hadn’t thought this could be a problem but thanks for the comment. We are sorry that you didn’t consider you had value for money, we don’t drop prices just to follow other places but like to think the rate is fair and prospective guests are making informed choices for what we offer and what we charge but, this is getting harder in the days of more and more choice on 3rd party websites who encourage rate dropping.
