"Not enough hangers or never enough sugar only ever leave 2. Having stayed there before we took extra hangers and a pot of sugar apart from that stay was excellent. We stayed in a superior roo. Which was extra but apart from the sea view wasn't worth the extra money"

"Staff very friendly helpful, although there's a lift there are still some stairs to navigate up or down to certain rooms. Parking for about 20 cars, full English was adequate and tasty. Coffee was great. I did feel the place needs a little TLC, other than that my short stay was good."

"We had a superb week holiday in this accommodation. Our first time to visit in the Devon area and we were not disappointed. A seafront beach hotel with room en-suite and breakfast included. Smooth check-in with the pleasant staff. He showed us the 2 rooms that were available at that time and asked us which room we prefer. Excellent breakfast everyday. Greeted by friendly and pleasant staff. Our room was clean, teas and coffees were replenished regularly. We loved the ambience whilst we were there. Pleasant walk every morning on the beach. A very productive and relaxed week holiday for us. We visited many places and attractions such as Paignton beach, Goodrington sands, Paignton pier and harbour, Torquay beach and harbour. We did the steam train and boat trip tour to Dartmouth and got the chance to visit the Dartmouth castle. We had also visited Berry Pomeroy castle and Totnes castle. Excellent stay in this place. Highly recommend. We will come back again."

"Went to Paignton for the annual Air Show and the Great western couldn't be better situated, being at the far end of the beach with everything within a few minutes walk. The room was quite large with two windows so ventilation wasn't a problem. Everything was spotless and the furniture was in good condition Along with a really comfortable bed and very pleasant, helpful owner and manager my stay couldn't have been more comfortable."
