"The room was fairly clean although furniture has seen better days. Seafront views are spectacular. Hotel is a 10 minute walk to city centre which is nice if you want to try various places to eat, also there is a nice south west coast trail near by if you fancy a nice walk. The stay was relatively lovely although I would like to stay in other places with a seafront view if I’m to visit Torquay again"

"The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location close to the seafront, the pier, the harbour, the parks, pubs, restaurants, souvenir shops, steam railway, train and bus station made it the perfect place to stay for a seaside holiday. I only ordered the breakfast, not evening meals, the dining room was nice and the food was very good. I recommend it."

"Went to Paignton for the annual Air Show and the Great western couldn't be better situated, being at the far end of the beach with everything within a few minutes walk. The room was quite large with two windows so ventilation wasn't a problem. Everything was spotless and the furniture was in good condition Along with a really comfortable bed and very pleasant, helpful owner and manager my stay couldn't have been more comfortable."

"This was a large and comfortable flat. The ocean and harbour views are excellent and the location is convenient. Paignton is a British family holiday sort of place with the typical amusements (rides, minuture golf, game arcades, casinos, etc.). So for an older couple like us, not too much to do outside of enjoying the huge beaches. However, it makes a great base for exploring Southeast Devon. The large parking space provided helped a lot (The listing says it can accommodate two cars, although I think they'd need to be pretty small. But it was great for the Kia Sportage that Avis rented us)."
