Great Base for the Road to Hana
This is a nice apartment to use as a base if you're doing the Road to Hana or want to spend your days out and about on the island. There's a great general store/cafe in walking distance with wonderful coffee, pastries, smoothies, poke, and sandwiches. (A good spot to get picnic items if you're headed to Hana). The downtown of Paia is a short drive away (great food and vibes). This apartment is also an incredibly short walk to Mama's Fish House, which is definitely worth the splurge (get a reservation!) if you're staying here. The apartment itself is as described. Clean and convenient. I'm picky about beds and found this one to be comfortable. We also appreciated the ceiling fan in the bedroom and the A/C unit which kept the whole apartment nice and cool. While the bed is comfortable, I wouldn't say this apartment is one where you want to spend a lot of time hanging out in it. There's limited seating in the living room and the patio table outside is absolutely fine, but it's more basic vs. a comfy place to lounge. But since there is a great beach behind Mama's fish house within walking distance, that's where you'll probably hang out anyway if you aren't out and about on the island or in downtown Paia. (The one thing I will note is that we were disappointed they no longer have beach chairs that you can take with you to the beach. They do however have beach towels). We stayed here for 2 nights as a base for the Road to Hana and it worked out great for us.

Perfect spot for a weekend stay
Property was as listed. Clean and nicely decorated inside. Owner was very responsive. Check in and check out was very easy. We visited for a wedding in nearby Haiku and really enjoyed the surrounding area and activities the reviews . Definitely recommend. One last note. We noticed that some reviews mentioned the Hana highway traffic noise. It wasn’t bothersome to us at all. It quiets down a lot at night and doesn’t get busy until mid morning- at least on the weekends. This is a very laid back, relaxed community with few choices for lodging.this was very nice for the area and in our opinion very well priced. We would stay here again

This was a really cool place to stay even though we didn't get into "Mama"s Fish House." At least we found her secret beach, the store down the street, and, wow...we were actually on the Road to Hana! We loved the space we had in the condo; about the only thing we might have liked was a microwave oven. And our host was very responsive.

We had a great 5 night stay at this condo. It is fully updated. Shower had really good water pressure. I brought earplugs because a couple of the reviews mentioned traffic noise but we did not need them. We could hear cars going by but it wasn't bothersome to us. The condo has a good mattress and we slept really well. There is a small beach within a couple minute walk where we saw turtles and in the backdrop windsurfers and kite boarders. It was a really nice little spot. We also walked to Mama's Fish House for dinner one night. Make reservations if possible. The location of this condo is good for exploring upcountry or going to Hana and back. Paia is very close and has lots of good restaurants and shops. The coded entry and exit was very easy and convenient. Nice not to have to remember to grab the key or keycard when leaving. We would not hesitate to stay at this condo in the future.

Nice but a few things to mention
The property is as shown in pictures. Newly renovated with nice location if going to Hana or Haleakala. This appears to be a former hotel turned in to a condo unit. The walls are thin so noise is an issue. We could hear the people in the unit next to us and the highway noise doesn’t die down till 11 or so. The beach at mammas is close and nice. The smoke detector was going off. We attempted to contact the person in the book in the unit. She stated she no longer manages the unit and has told the owner to take her name off the book several times. We attempted to change the batteries but still beeping. The smoke detector is a 2012 model. Time for an upgrade. I messaged the owner and the response was no worries, did it stop beeping when you took out the batteries. I would stay here again for a day or two if there were activities I wanted to do in the area.

Our building features all concrete construction so it is for the most part very well insulated from noise from neighboring condos. The beach at Mama's is one of the hidden gems on the north shore! Beautiful modern condo in Paia
We were very pleased with the condo and all the interior furnishings. The bathroom and kitchen are built with excellent materials and it does feel luxurious at that level. The only challenge we had is that the road is very nearby and you do hear it from the bedroom. I had no problem with this, but my partner is a light sleeper and she was struggling a bit. That said, the nearby beach at Mama's is gorgeous and actually has some beautiful snorkeling and turtle spotting opportunities.

Too short, but very Sweet !
My wife and I recently stayed here at this lovely condo in Paia. We were looking for a location that would be close to the airport for our return flight home, yet still comfortable enough for a few days of exploration and unique Maui experiences. This place was perfect for both these intents. Only 15 minutes by car to the airport made getting to our return flight fast and simple. Traffic on the main road through Paia does get crowded though, so be aware of that. And finding street parking or even lot space for your vehicle in town can also be a challenge. Go early, before 10am if possible. The condo itself is graciously located within walking distance to Mama's Restaurant, a beautiful beach and a great locale store/coffee shop called Ku'au Store (highly recommend!). You could also walk to the bustling business center of town from the unit, but keep in mind it will be along a busy stretch of highway without a sidewalk. Having a reserved parking space right outside the unit is a big plus ! Entry into the unit is by keyless entry code which makes it easy - no keys to fumble with or misplace! Inside the unit is quiet, clean and super modern with dimmable lights everywhere, ceiling fan over the bed, large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, flat screen TV, bluetooth-connectable speaker, and adjustable A/C unit. A small balcony with table and 2 chairs allows eating with a view. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and I would certainly return !

Good weekend stay
Interior was clean. Although the condo was described as "modern" the building itself looked like it was built in the late 80's/90's as an apartment building then later converted to condos. The biggest drawback was trying to exit onto the highway. There's a blind corner on the left as you exit with traffic coming at a fast clip. Sometimes cars would cross the line over to the curb that we were trying to exit from and would swerve back into their lane when they saw us. We stayed Fri and checked out Sunday. The condo was fine for the two days. Not sure I would stay there for more than that because of that blind corner and the traffic.

Stylish Getaway Handy to Haleakala and Other Attractions
We enjoyed these stylish and spotless accommodations. Our host was wonderful and communicative. We reserved a table in advance for two consecutive nights at the iconic Mama’s Fish House and walked and literally were able to walk out the back gate of the building and be there in three minutes. We are hikers and these accommodations are perfectly situated for the scenic drive up into Haleakala National Park and the Road to Hana.

A Jewel in Paradise
This VRBO is as lovely as the pictures if not more so. The owner gave us wonderful tips and ideas from the very start of our booking to our last day there . He was very responsive when we reached out about a light switch and stayed until he made sure it was fixed properly. He also persistently worked on ensuring we had our boarding passes when his printer was not printing properly. This place is in an amazing location, walking distance to a beautiful beach protected by coral and rocks. We saw a sea turtle in the water and on the sand. One of the bonuses of this location is that it is walking distance to Mama's Fish House, one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Absolutely everything is freshly made and delicious with great presentation. The tables all look out on the beach and the ocean and the beautiful palm trees. We had an easily accessable parking spot with free parking which was very helpful. We were close to the lovely town of Paia, with fun shops and a variety of restaurants, and only a brief drive to the airport and Costco. We would return here in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful magical trip and appreciate the owner so much!

One of the best things about the location was it was 5 minute walk to Mama’s beach. There were 4 turtles either in the bay or on the beach every day (4 days) they we were there. Great, modern, clean and close to Paia and 1 minute from Mama’s Fish House. We did a short 2 nights here before we left the islands but this was the best furnished and modern place we stayed. If this had an ocean view, it’d be the perfect stay. That being said, it is only 2 minutes from a small beach in front of Mama’s Fish House where we had sea turtles sitting next to us all morning. The property manager was super helpful and communicative. Would recommend if you want to stay in this area!

We loved our time in Paia at this condo! It was very quiet, beautifully decorated, and super convenient to the surf spots we visited. We also landed a last minute reservation at Mama’s and loved the walk over! My favorite interior feature was the shower… so awesome.

This location was such a great one to start our Maui trip. It was so easy to navigate to and from. It is perfect if you are doing the road to Hana! I appreciated the recommendations on food and beaches also. The ability to walk 2 min and be at Mama’s Beach was so amazing every morning. The laundry facilities were also easy peasy. My only suggestion for improvement is for the shower heads to be cleaned. The rest of the place was clean and comfortable! Thank you!

Very close to a fairly private beach.
This place seemed brand new- very clean. The unit was quiet and nicely located. The AC kept it nice and comfortable. The light switches were confusing and the one above the bathroom seems to need some work- It flickered. This is no place to put on makeup if that is your thing, too dim. The bed was very firm- great if you like a firm mattress, a bit too firm for our liking. The pillows were too soft- seems silly to review that but I had a hard time sleeping because I couldn't get very comfortable. This is a decent place to stay if you want to be in this area.

We appreciate the feedback! We are sorry the Lutron dimmer light switches were confusing, if the light in the bath was too dim / flickering it was probably at its lowest possible setting, hence the flickering and low light! We will take the feedback about the bed and find some new pillows, it is hard to find a mattress setup that fits everyone!

Nice condo, but not near much!
This pretty condo is well-appointed, up-dated, clean, and comfortable. The location is less than ideal, which is, no doubt, why price point is quite reasonable by Maui standards. There is a tiny beach at Mama’s Fish House, just a few minutes away, but the sand is dirty. There is a little store nearby. It’s a great spot for 2 if you don’t mind driving everywhere. You will have some road noise from the Hana Highway on the bedroom side.

This is the perfect place to be close to everything. It’s at the start of Road to Hana, in the back yard of Mama’s Fish House, and 20-30 min drive to trendy West Maui. 5 minute walk takes you to Ku’au Store for coffee, sandwiches and snacks. The apartment itself was well stocked for cooking meals. Loved that there was a blender for my morning shakes. Everything was super clean and organized. We barely used the a/c. We just left the patio door open and the fan in the bedroom going and it was very comfortable. We really felt at home. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

First I would like to start by saying that Quincy was an exceptional communicator by not only answering all our questions in a timely manner but going above and beyond to meet our needs. Secondly, he moved our check-in time a few hours to accommodate our schedule which helped our day flow so much better. Thirdly, he conspired with my friend to surprise me with champagne and sweets. To emphasize how much he went out of his way, he lives an hour from the Vrbo location!! He was incredibly kind and truly envelops the Aloha spirit
