Rochelle was wonderful and quick to respond. The house was comfortable and equipped with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the wildlife and beautiful plants on and near the property.
We stayed for two weeks while visiting family. The house and property were well maintained. The owner was very communicative and helpful during our stay. The neighborhood was nice and felt safe. We would definitely stay again.
Loved this sweet home within 5 minutes of the most beautiful sunrises on the island. It felt like a rustic cabin in the... jungle instead of the woods. Wish we could've stayed longer! Thank you for creating such a great place.
The sounds of summer, the songs of the Kokee, and the calm and welcoming house made our vacation a pleasure.
We enjoyed the outdoor porch mornings and evenings.
Aloha from our family.
We really liked the calm and the proximity of the surrounding nature. The house was perfect for the four of us and very well equipped.
We warmly thank Rochelle and Ted
Very clean and the extras, Bbq grill chairs swimming gear make it even better. Comfortable and quiet. Even some wild pigs to make sure you know you are in tge jungle.
This property is a beautiful place to stay. There is a wonderful yard. You can walk to the ocean from the property and see the sea turtles every day.
It is very relaxing and quiet here. The lanai is a wonderful place to sit and relax.
Will come again to this property. This was already our second time staying here.
The little house is wonderfully clean with adequate appointments for a relaxed stay. The peaceful neighborhood with the incredible sea cliffs just 10 minutes walk away was rejuvenating. The house is shrouded in a diverse jungle, leading to maximum privacy.
This is an amazing place and location! A quiet neighborhood. It seems like there is no one around you because of all the beautiful vegetation. Didn't want to leave. Actually stayed an extra day. Looking forward to return someday soon.
We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful location and nice to be such a short walk to the beautiful coast. My only suggestion would be to not have to drop off garbage at the end of the stay. Thanks.
We slept amazing with the windows open and the sounds of the jungle around us. We stayed 3 nights while we explored the Hilo side of the Island and found the location of the home a good central point. Thank you!
Neighbourhood was friendly, clean and felt safe in this area.
House was clean and had everything we required.
Great location overall loved driving hwy 137 could do that everday, or red road, or govt beach rd.
Rochelle and Ted were fantastic! Maholo
My husband decided to take me to Hawaii this year for my birthday & I must say the home & island he picked out was perfect. The home was in a great quiet & beautiful neighborhood. There was so much to do on the big island that after being out all day, it was so nice being able to go back to a house that was clean, in a great location & was in a very quiet neighborhood. We spoke with the on island property manager twice regarding questions & she was so helpful. If you’re thinking of visiting the big island, definitely consider this home for your stay!
We loved the quietness of the location, and a walk to the ocean. Its cliffs so no water access but nice views. They have cameras for security which was a bit disconcerting, but the location was quiet and off the beaten path. It was an hour drive to Hilo and about 50 min to the Volcano National Park. The host and the local contact were responsive and great to connect with. All in all a great respite and vacation. Their added touches were a wonderful addition.
The property is exactly as described. I agree with other reviews in that the photos don't depict the interior as well as maybe they could. With the windows open, it's much brighter in the living room than shown.
When we weren't by the ocean somewhere or at one of the local markets, we spent the majority of our time on the back porch having our meals and just hanging out. Very peaceful.
Rochelle was extremely responsive to all our questions prior and during our stay.

Off the beaten path
I booked four nights and we only stayed one night. I missed that this property did not have a/c which was 100% my fault. However, the main issue I had staying more than one night was the owner wanted us to keep all the windows closed, with no a/c, due to recent break-ins in unoccupied properties in this area, when we were gone all day resulting in a very humid house to come home to after long hot days out exploring the island. If I would have known all that I would not have booked this house. It was a very beautiful quiet secluded area surrounded by tropical plants and trees. But be prepared to due a lot of driving because is off the beaten path. If we could have kept the windows open all day and night I probably would have stayed because the nights due cool off and the house is a comfortable temperature. Also after I informed the owner she did apologize and was going to try and get some of my money back! Which I appreciated since I had to stay somewhere else but I never heard anything either way. Just know if you book this property be prepared to drive father for everything thing… food, gas, excursions, etc and you’ll be coming home to a hot/humid house every day.
