100 Year Old Home in Historic Downtown
This recently remodeled two bedroom home is truly one of a kind. It is both modern and rustic with all of the conveniences that you love tucked into a perfectly charming package. Built in the 1890's, this home is an enduring piece of Pagosa's colorful cultural history and a great home base for exploring the amazing Upper San Juan Basin.
We provide all of the amenities that you expect to find in a vacation rental, plus some. Our fully stocked kitchen includes things like basic spices and oils, coffee filters, garbage bags, dish soap, dishwashing detergent etc. The dining table seats eight. Amenities for entertainment include a flat screen television (with cable) in both the living room and the dining room, and there is of course wifi on site. We provide plenty of towels, and stock laundry supplies.
The kitchen is chock-full of craftsmanship. The cabinet frames were welded from steel and fit with boxes from a local cabinetmaker. The countertops are concrete, easy to clean and easy to work on. There are also undercabinet lights, a gas range and oven, an over sized stainless sink and all of the cookware, serving ware, small appliances and gadgets that make cooking easy and fun!
The dining room / bar is one of my favorite rooms in the house. The north wall is made of stone, with steel support beams, there is a beautiful red brick floor and the south wall is the original exterior siding. Wide, locally milled lumber; one detail from the original construction that we were able to save. Combined with some tech lighting, a custom built steel and glass chandelier, handmade furniture and a flat screen television, it's the perfect combination of old and new.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and across the hallway there is another bedroom with a queen sized bed. Both rooms have ample closet space. Downstairs is the bunk room, with a queen sized sofa sleeper. The house will sleep a total of six.
There is one full bathroom outfitted with a large soaking tub / shower combination and heated concrete floors. The on demand water heater (endless hot water!) and excellent water pressure are definitely worthy of special mention.
Out the back door you will find a flagstone patio, fenced on three sides for privacy. There is a dining table and gas fire pit table for you to enjoy.
Sustainability was the goal in the remodel of this home. We sourced our materials locally, quite often reclaiming them ourselves, and we found creative ways to use materials that we already had. We installed primarily LED lighting and we buy renewable energy from our local electric co-op. None of these things will affect your experience in staying here, unless they matter to you. In that case, you can rest easy knowing that you are supporting local Pagosa Springs businesses, energy conservation and mindful building practices. We also live here in Pagosa Springs and are happy to be available to you.

Amazing stay. Very cool historical house with incredibly comfortable beds. Perfectly located to walk to anything in downtown Pagosa (5-8min away). Will definitely book here again.
2nd time staying at the property managers properties. Would highly recommend any of her properties. Location is great especially if you do your own cooking with the grocery across the street.
Really nice, unique stay. Super clean, fully stocked, they really thought of everything. Full of charm, a short stroll from downtown. Definitely, rebooking on future visits.
Host is available should the need arise, place was really great, comfortable and cozy. It is close to shops, restaurants and gas station across the street had air for tires and friendly helpful staff as well.
We've been staying at Ohea's properties for almost a decade!! This is an amazing cabin. Everything about it is so cool and comfortable. I hope she keeps this one for rent for awhile
We had a great stay at the cabin! We enjoyed the history of it and all of the modern touches, the LED highlights in the door frames were especially wonderful! Our kiddos enjoyed the hot tub and yard. The location to downtown Pagosa can’t be beat. We would not hesitate to stay here again!
Enjoyed our stay over New Years! The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed and the layout is great for skiing. The space is so unique with many fun and interesting things throughout the home. Being able to just walk to many places, and having our own hot tub was really nice.
Everything was fantastic, house is rustic but modern and clean/comfortable.
We loved the hot tub and it worked great the whole time.
Location was A+
Thank you!
Really cool renovated home….great location to the downtown area. We felt safe there. Provided us everything that we needed while visiting Pagosa Springs. Thank you.
This is our 6th year staying at one of Ohea's properties and we are never disappointed. This property has everything, a great location, and is very comfortable for a family of four and a dog. The thoughtful touches throughout these rentals are always appreciated. Thanks a bunch, we will be back!
This place was really great! The location was perfect, check in was simple and check out was a breeze. The only thing is “third bedroom” was actually a pull out couch in the laundry area. It turned out to work just fine for my oldest so it wasn’t really a problem. Overall we would absolutely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful experience!
We love love love this farmhouse. It is our second stay here as a family and I would highly recommend it! Hot tub was perfect, you can walk to town, everything is supplied for cooking, even an outdoor grill. We brought our portable volleyball net which was great in the backyard! Beds are super comfortable and the uniqueness of the property is 10/10!
Cute little cabin. My two daughters and I stayed for about five days in Pagosa Springs to escape the Central Texas heat in July. This cabin was very convenient to the historic area. And easy access to the springs and the river activities. Everything was very clean and comfortable. All the necessary amenities were available. We all really enjoyed it.
This was our 5th stay at one of the Incredible Pagosa rentals. They never disappoint. The design of each place is thoughtful and quirky. It is fully stocked, comfortable, and close to town. Ohea is wonderful and communicative. Great for a family of four. We will be back!

Oh my gosh, it was perfect. I'm not sure it was as walkable as advertised, but we had 3 small kids. The hot tub made it very convenient to get small rounds of swimming in between the rains. Very spacious! All of the rooms were a great size, even had room for the portable crib. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. We would definitely choose this place again for future visits

Very cool old historic house, redone with a modern rustic theme that was beautiful.
The host provide every amenity we needed, and we really enjoyed the use of the hot tub also.
I only suggestion would be to get blackout shades for the bedrooms, because it does get bright early. Everything else was fantastic!
This property was excellent! I walked to town and to the store a few times it was such a convenient location. There was enough parking for our two trucks. We enjoyed the hot tub each night after bouncing around the beautiful mountains on our 4 wheelers. We felt safe enough that we opened the front and back doors every morning to let the cool crisp air breeze through. We will be back for sure!
Overall nice place. Was nice to have a hot tub at the end of a long day of skiing. Great location close to downtown - grocery store, ho springs, other shopping. Some things to know - this place only has one bathroom, which we knew before renting but others may not know. Also the wood floors for the stairs and second
floor are creaky/noisy. These are not major issues, just something to be aware of. Overall we enjoyed the place.
Pro: Well-equipped kitchen. Hot tub is nice! Comfy sofa + chairs in living room to hang in. Clearly some thought and creativity went into design and decor.
Con: Near main road through town (hot tub stares right at it 50 yards away). 100 year old house so it’s a bit creaky when someone is moving about. Bring your own streaming passwords.
We loved this house! It was stocked with everything we needed from paper products to spices. The two boot warmers were a plus. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of blankets. Unfortunately, whoever stayed in the house before us put way too much shock in the hot tub and we were only able to use it at the end of our trip. We got in it the first night and had to get out immediately. That was our only complaint:). The washer and dryer work great. The house is very unique! We would stay here again for sure:)
They've done a good job updating it, which we're sure was challenging. It was clean and a good size for 3 of us and our dog. With the location of the pullout couch, it would work for more people pretty easily. The layout is segmented and we spent most of our time in the living room, which is a good size. We've stayed in older houses before that were not warm enough - this one was very pleasant. The dining room was cooler and off to the side, so although it has a fun set-up, we found we didn't spend a lot of time there. We liked the hot tub. We also enjoyed being walkable to downtown, although the route isn't very pedestrian-friendly at the moment. We skied at Wolf Creek, but the snow didn't happen to be good, so we only went one day instead of a few. We were a bit bummed about it, since that was one of the main draws for us. The hot springs () was the highlight of our visit. If we were to do it again, we'd probably get the 3-day pass, since it's more economical, or maybe check into massages, too.All in all, a nice relaxing trip!
