La Petite Maison is a two bedroomed two bathroom gite in peaceful surroundings.

The house has two double bedrooms one includes a single bed, both with en suite bathrooms. There is a fully fitted dining kitchen with log burner fireplace, an entrance hall with cloakroom and a lounge with double doors leading to a decked sun terrace. All the rooms have beamed ceilings. It is situated in a tranquil setting in the French countryside with beautiful walks close by. Canoeing, go-karting, fishing and bikes can all be hired close by. There is a lake for swimming with other activities not far away. The house is roughly 25 minutes away from the airport and is close to some very good restaurants and supermarkets. The ideal place for a quiet relaxing get away.

  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.
