"quite pricy and no breakfast included. Right on the water . loads of parking. casino attached, but had no luck. Turned out to be the most expensive night of my two week driving vacation. (even the gas was high, $4.54 / gal)"

10/10 Excellent
"Nice view of Trout Lake and we liked the kayaks and rowboats provided. Birch Lodge is a large historic building and the owners have spent time and money bringing up to it’s current state. We loved the porch with rockers and flowers. Nice touch. The motel is super clean and well preserved. The overall property is a great little secret. My only complaint would be the lack of local restaurants. Food choices are limited."

Brevort Lake, Great Views, Great Fun

10/10 Excellent
"What a wonderful week in Northern Michigan on beautiful Brevoort Lake. The rental is gorgeous-better than the photos. There is plenty of room with all of the essentials (plenty of kitchen ware, lots of pots and pans, sharp knives, plenty of towels, washer/dryer...basically everything you need for a home away from home). The beach is clean with a sand bottom. Please of chairs and beach toys, kayaks, etc. The host lives next door and was available for any questions. He also checked in a few times just to make sure we had everything we need. Having two college students in summer classes with us, he made sure the WiFi was up and working. This place is private and quiet, yet only 20 minutes from town. We were able to relax and unwind. We highly recommend the Eagle's Nest for your next family vacation."

Peaceful Get Away On Inland Lake between Mackinac Island and Pictured Rocks.

Peaceful Get Away On Inland Lake between Mackinac Island and Pictured Rocks.

8/10 Good
"The property was fantastic. There was not a typical key pad, but a small lock box that was difficult to locate and use. Also, the code didn't appear when we went to the vrbo website for information on how to get in. The owner answered right away and gave us the code, so it worked out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay except that there was no air conditioning and my husband who is recovering from an illness had a hard time sleeping. I thought it was very comfortable. Please note that the grill is propane so you won't need charcoal and also there is a supply of firewood at the entrance to the property. We would definitely return if back in the area again."

"Cabin was clean. Beds were comfortable. The view of the lake was spectacular. Would not recommend for older folks. Tight spaces in both the main bedroom and bathroom. Overall, a very nice place."

"The cabin was clean, spacious, and very well suited for our family. Its location was perfect as well for a starting point for a lot of what the UP has to offer—St. Ignace, Mackinac Island, Munising, etc."
