"La maison était idéalement située pour notre réunion de famille. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié - son confort, sa déco , sa propreté - les nuits calmes, l'ambiance village de campagne, la vue degagée sur les toits de tuile et les arbres du marais poitevin qui commence sur place- la boulangerie pâtisserie ouverte tous les matins à 50 metres du gîte pour agrémenter le petit déjeuner et préparer le pique-nique Nous y reviendrons pour la prochaine occasion!"

"We stayed for 5 nights in this nice compact holiday home. The bed was very comfortable, shower room was good and we liked the outdoor space to eat a lovely breakfast, brought by Christopher each morning. The kitchenette had a kettle and fridge. The small pool was very clean and provided a welcome dip. Off road parking and a place for our bikes was good. A list of good restaurants was very welcome. I would recommend this property for a short stay. "

"Good hotel in the middle of town but needs a few bits of maintenance (e.g. leaking shower doors) and a few more members of staff. The restaurant was good with reasonbably priced meals although the chef needs to tone down the use of olive oil on the fish dish as it was swimming in it, and also learn the difference between saignant and bien cuit as my saignant steak was almost trop cuit! The main issue was the breakfast as a party of 40 Dutch tourists decended on the restaurant before checking out at 0900. When the few other guests arrived there were no clean tables and no food left. Understandable but what was incredible was that the young wonan in charge of breakfast was on heer own and overwhelmed. To her credit, once I'd alerted the lone receptionist to this she came and pitched in, as did the guests, setting tables etc. but that was areal failur of management. Why 5* then? Because it has potential and was perfect for our overnight stay with secure parking and (eventually) a great breakfast. If i'd been there for a week I'd probably have dropped it a star or two."
