Fantastic place to stay. Staff are so helpful. It’s the perfect place to stay when going on a cruise. The terminal is over the road. The beds and pillows were comfortable and shower had great pressure. There is a food hall attached to the hotel and bar.

We are from Australia and travell all over Europe buying for our Antique store. Never before have we stayed in a hotel as good as this. It starts the moment you enter the place. Friendly, efficient smiling staff greet you, all is 100% efficient. Our room was like a suite, everything is in large proportions and spotless. The only small criticism is that there are no tissues in the bathroom, sorry, large bathroom, but this is all we could fault. I continually went to the reception and complained...

The best area to stay in Oud-Beijerland is the town centre, particularly around the Voorstraat and Eastdijk.
This area is the heart of Oud-Beijerland, offering a pleasing mix of historic buildings and modern conveniences. The Voorstraat, a main shopping street, runs parallel to the harbour and is lined with local shops, cafes, and restaurants. The Eastdijk, bordering the Spui river, provides scenic views and a pleasant promenade. It's a very walkable area where you'll find most of the town's amenities within easy reach.
For travellers seeking a relaxing escape with easy access to amenities, the town centre is an ideal choice. You'll find a selection of local eateries, from traditional Dutch cuisine to international options, all within walking distance. The proximity to the Spui river also allows for pleasant strolls along the water or even boat trips, offering a tranquil experience for those who appreciate natural beauty.
Couples looking for a peaceful base with convenient access to local culture will appreciate the town centre. You can enjoy quiet evenings at a canal-side restaurant or explore the local boutiques during the day.
When is the best time to go to Oud-Beijerland?
For most visitors, the best time to go to Oud-Beijerland is during the late spring and summer months, from May to September.
This period typically offers the most pleasant weather, with warmer temperatures and more sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the Hoeksche Waard region and enjoying outdoor activities. Average temperatures range from 15°C to 23°C, great for cycling along the dykes or taking a boat trip on the Spui river.
Couples looking for a relaxing escape will find these months particularly appealing. The longer daylight hours allow for leisurely strolls through the town centre, enjoying a drink at a canalside cafe, or exploring the nature reserves nearby like the Korendijkse Slikken. Many local events and markets are also held during this time, adding to the local experience.
Families travelling with children will also benefit from the summer months. The good weather makes it easier to visit attractions like the Land van Bomen park or enjoy a day out at the nearby beaches.
