The best area to stay in Otos is within the village centre itself, as it offers the most convenient access to local amenities and a genuine village experience.

Otos is a small, traditional Valencian village, and its centre is compact and easy to navigate on foot. You'll find the main square, Plaça de l'Església, with the local church and a few small shops and restaurants nearby. The streets are narrow and cobbled, characteristic of many historic Spanish villages, providing a relaxed and authentic setting.

For couples seeking a quiet retreat, staying in the heart of Otos provides a charming base. You're within easy reach of the local walking trails that crisscross the surrounding countryside, superb for leisurely strolls and enjoying the natural beauty of the Albaida Valley. The village also boasts a unique sundial route, with various sundials installed on buildings throughout the centre, offering an interesting cultural diversion.

Solo travellers looking for a peaceful escape will also find the village centre ideal. It's a place where one can unwind, enjoy the local pace of life, and easily access the few local eateries for a taste of regional cuisine.

The best time to go to Otos is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

During spring, the weather is pleasantly mild, with temperatures typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C. The countryside around Otos is particularly beautiful at this time, with wildflowers in bloom and lush green landscapes, making it ideal for hiking and exploring the natural surroundings. This period is great for couples or solo travellers who enjoy outdoor activities and scenic walks without the intense heat of summer.

Autumn also offers agreeable weather, with temperatures similar to spring, usually between 18°C and 28°C. The harvest season brings local festivals and events, offering a chance to experience the local culture and cuisine. The changing colours of the leaves in the surrounding mountains provide a picturesque backdrop for photography and leisurely drives. This season is well-suited for those looking for a relaxed trip with cultural experiences and comfortable weather.

While summer (July and August) is sunny, temperatures can be quite high, often exceeding 30°C, which might be less comfortable for extensive outdoor activities.
