Holiday House Green Garden - Ski & Mountain Resort

Holiday House Green Garden - Ski & Mountain Resort

10/10 Excellent
"OK. I have done it. A straight 'full-marks' across the board. From the moment we checked in, this place has been a delight. Rooms are impeccable. Staff work hard to get you where you need to be. The documents supplied on what is offered in the area were tremendous. If you are here to relax in the summer or ski in the winter, this is a gem of a place to stay. There are only 10 rooms or so, so you are not fighting a crowd. Breakfast is more than enough to get you through the start of the day and beautifully prepared. A lot of time and effort put in by all the staff, from the front desk to the cleaning crew. This is a great place to unwind from a hard day of holidaying, close (0-15 mins) to a lot of food/recreational activities and near (15-30 mins) to a lot more. Enjoy!"

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Otani?
The best times to visit Otani are during spring (late March to early May) and autumn (late October to mid-November) when the weather is pleasant and the natural scenery is at its most beautiful.

Spring in Otani is particularly lovely, with mild temperatures and the landscape coming alive with blossoms. This is an excellent time for couples who enjoy scenic walks and photography, as the cherry blossoms around the Kuzuryu River and along the roadside create stunning backdrops. The air is crisp and comfortable for exploring the local area.

Autumn offers a different but equally striking beauty, as the foliage transforms into brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows. The cooler, dry weather is ideal for outdoor activities such as visiting the Otani Gorge or exploring the surrounding mountains. This season is great for solo travellers seeking a peaceful retreat and an opportunity to connect with nature without the summer crowds.

While summer (June to August) brings warmer weather and lush greenery, it can also be quite humid. Winter (December to February) sees heavy snowfall, which can be beautiful for those who enjoy winter sports but might limit accessibility to some areas.
