We have a family of 5 and stayed for 10 nights. The neighborhood is very convenient and the apartment is very clean! Close to metro, many shops and restaurants. The only negative is the noise at night because it’s on the busy street but we have no problem because it’s just minimal. We were very tired from the day and fall asleep quickly. Beds are comfortable. Thanks for the complimentary mask and foot patch. They were very helpful!

The rooms smelled when we checked in, had to plug in the air purifier right away. The towels were so old and smelled damp. The cushions that were in the bedroom smelled. Had to go to the store to buy air freshener for the unit. We sprayed the whole place and turned up the air conditioner. Location was good.

Nice stay

Nice place in the middle of Dotonbori, but inside we were not disturbed by noise. Had all the necessary ammeneties for a family on travel. Really nice to get to wash clothes on the way.

Great location, I love the 2 bedroom setup and the spacious living area. Very close to shops, bars and a Family Mart. Subway station is a short walk away as well. Easy to find our way back to the hotel because there is a big strawberry on the wall next to the hotel for a Strawberry Mania dessert shop.

The cleaning lady was nice to us when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised at how large thev2 bedroom apt was and jm what an incredible location just 3- 5 min walk to hugest don Quixote, shop right outside, and dotonbori sign, very close to stations! It was clean and the even left us a free portable Wi-Fi to use while we were there! We loved it! Thank you!!!

Clean place, complete household items, with Large comfy beds. You can definitely be satisfied with the provision. Located at the center of Dotonbori, you won't have to worry about food, shopping, and traffic. The only drawback is the poor sound insulation. You may consider using the earbuds provided. Overall, a nice stay!

Fantastic location! Doesnt get anymore convenient than this, as it's right above the middle of the action in Dotonbori. With this in mind, it can be a little loud in the evening hours. Property is pretty clean over all and amenities were top notch. One major issue we had with our unit was that it constantly smelled of sewage outside the bedroom living areas. The smell appears to stem from the drains in the shower/ laundry and from the toilet bidet fan when it activates.

We stayed from 10/26/2023 ~ 11/1/2023 (5 full days). The hotel communicated all the necessary information to us prior to our arrival and the instructions were well written and easy to follow. As a group of 4, the hotel felt a little small with all our luggage as well. I wouldn’t personally recommend it for more than 5 people. The other reviews stated that you could hear the noises from the street, and they are right. However, the hotel does supply earplugs and honestly, if you’re traveling right, you should be tired enough at the end of the day that it doesn’t really matter lol I slept in the living room and I did not hear any noises there. The location is superb though. Lots of things to do, foods to eat, shopping to be done all within a 10 minute walk radius. It’s also fairly easy to find (at the time of my stay). The hotel is right across the Kinryu Ramen Honten and right next to a Strawberry Mania, so you have the big dragon and giant strawberry to look out for. Overall, we had a positive experience with S-Dotonbori Hotel and would love to check it out again if given the opportunity.

Spotlessly clean apartment hotel in a lively area

This hotel is located right on Dotonbori, so lots of excitement, and lots of places to eat just steps away. There was a place making fresh melon pan just outside the door. It's a party street, so there is some noise at night. Bring ear plugs if noise bothers you -- though I found I got used to it, and it didn't bother me the second night. There is no staff on site, more like an apartment. The place was spotless. No luggage storage, but we found a luggage storage place very close by on Dotonbori. There appear to be a few of those. One suggestion for future guests is that the hotel email directions to the hotel in a Japanese format to show to the cab driver. Our cab driver did not understand where we wanted to go and dropped us at the Dotonbori Hotel (not the S-Dotonbori), about a half mile away. We ended up walking the rest of the way, but it was a fun and interesting walk, I have to say. At first we couldn't find the place to enter the code for the elevator -- but once we lifted the lid to the keypad (duh!), all was good. Bathtub is deep, but not easy to in and out of. The shower is good. There is a washing machine, which was easy to use if you follow the instructions. It was a nice, clean place in a great location. Beds were very comfortable. Train stations/subways (several choices) are a couple of blocks away. I would stay there again, definitely. Very fun location.

Love the location of the apartment as it is at dotonbori where many restaurants like ichiran are steps away. To note that it is 5 to 10mins walking distance to 2 mrt and without shelter. On the check-in and check out day, you probably need around 15/20mins including time to find the elevator. Tips: don use Google map as the recommend route is by staircase. Can consider walking through the basement namba walk from namba station (S16) to nippombashi station (s17), take exit 5 elevator and then use google map to guide you to the apartment. Not the fastest but I think less confusing on the direction and sheltered. The apartment is clean and functional with all the required amenities. However, as there is no cleaning service, you need to throw your own trash and wash the towels provided. Love the washing machine as it can help to dry your clothing. Wash the clothing at night and it is dry the next day. Don like- The front reception table in the room is not practical and no cleaning service. The tv console not kid friendly. The living area is cramp. The brochure given are outdated. No personal recommendations on food and things to buy. It can be noisy in the middle of night but my family still can sleep well.
