Great hotel to stay the night if youre jumping from city to city. I have travelled from west of Japan, and heading to the east and northern Japan. This hotel was a great place to stop over and refresh. Its near the shin osaka station. Has lots of dining options. Got a good nights sleep and continued on my journey.
The rooms are a bit small and the beds are a bit firm but you can't beat the location! It's a 5 minute walk from the Shin-Osaka train station with quick access to the entire array of Osaka's trains subways and buses.
The property is about a 3 minute walk from the station. Room has a safe. The only thing that was t as good as the other hotels was that it was extremely small. So small we couldn’t open our suitcases anywhere - and we only had carry on bags. It was really noisy as it’s right by the tracks. Breakfast was good. Air conditioner didn’t really work well. The room was extremely hot. The station was awesome and full of unique foods. This is the second time I’ve stayed here. We thought the room would be bigger this time. It wasn’t. Unfortunately this is the reason I wouldn’t be able to stay again. If I bring any bigger luggage, I can’t even open it.
Let’s start with the good. UNBELIEVABLY convenient to Shin-Osaka station. You can get to the Morimachi line in a couple of minutes. It’s literally steps outside the door. The Shinkansen and JR lines are a little further but still very, very close.
The hotel itself is a little old and shabby. The lobby is nice but my room felt quite old. The bed was a coil spring and I could feel the springs under me. I wouldn’t want to sleep on that for a long stretch.
The escalator is an issue though. The lobby is on the second floor. From either entrance there is one escalator. They reverse the direction depending on the trend in traffic revolving around check in and check out time. If you catch it wrong you’re stair carrying your luggage up or down a pretty sizeable set of stairs. If you’re mobility impaired you also probably don’t want to stay here as there’s no elevator to street level.
Good. Convenient locations. Can take Hanuka line direct to airport . 5 mins to train stations. 7-11 n family mart nearby. So near to shin Osaka station. Lots of eateries, shops
Lovely hotel, superb value for money, and fantastic location 2 minutes from Shin Osaka Station. A really great room, compact but not tiny, with helpful staff and a great location. 1 minute to a corner store, and 2 minutes to the station. Highly recommended.

A bit old
The hotel is 40 years old and even though it’s looked after, they could put a few modern conveniences in place. Lift or elevator so you don’t have to carry your bags down stairs and USB ports in the rooms. They didn’t even have adapters at reception. t is convenient to shin Osaka station
This was the second time we stayed at New Osaka Hotel - Shin-Osaka within a week. The location is great, minutes walking form Shin-Osaka JR Station, makes train travel very easy.
The hotel is under renovation; the room we stayed earlier (on 4th floor) was in better condition than this time (on 6th floor). The bathroom needs be updated/repaired.
We stayed at New Osaka Hotel for one night-3 family members-so as to be close to the Shinkansen station for our trip the next day. The hotel served us for what we needed with the following exception: my mother is in a wheelchair and we had to use a company/work elevator to access check-in and to later exit/enter the hotel. This was not a problem after we found out this was the only way we could access the lobby then transfer to the regular elevator in the main lobby. Room for three was great and as well as the customer service by the front desk.

Room very dusty
Room is so dusty, we became housekeeping and clean it.
The next day the dust came back, wondering the standard of the way they clean the room!!
The rooms were kept clean daily. The staff was helpful when I had questions for them, but they didn’t all speak English well so it was a bit hard to communicate at times.
Inexpensive compared to other option and conveniently located very close to Shin Osaka station. Old building that smelled like Febreeze to cover up smoke and other doors. Stains on the walls and hair in the tub...If there are no other options and you’re on a very tight budget, maybe.
Hotel was in a good location a couple minutes walk away from Shin-Osaka Station. Room shows it's age a bit, but was clean. Staff were polite and accommodating.
Nice hotel. I booked one of the budget size rooms. Clean and a good sized bathroom. No real place to put your luggage. Very very convenient location. Only a few yards from exit 7 of the Midosuji line which gives easy access to Umeda and Dotonburi. Short walk to Shin Osaka. Convenience stores and restaurants close by. Pleasant Hotel, simple check in, friendly staff and good value for what I paid.
We planned to stay with New Osaka Hotel because it is close to Shin-Osaka JR station (about 5 mins walk). The check in process was smooth and our room was quite spacious compared to other hotels we had stayed before in Japan. We had a queen size bed and got very good space to store our 3 pieces of luggage. Overall we were very impressive with the cleanness of our room and the location of the hotel. We would definitely recommend the hotel especially if you plan to travel with Shinkansen for your stay in Japan.
Location is excellent if you plan to travel throughout Japan: very close to Shin-Osaka Railway station to both Shinkanzen (bullet trains) and to JR trains. Also you may use Red line of their Subway sustem:
There are some food markets in the proximity, and very safe
