If you've never stayed in a Japanese love hotel, it's interesting and probably worth it if you know what you're getting into. It's probably overly clean (e.g. towels are packaged in plastic so you know they're clean), it's efficient, and spacious for a Japanese room. Minor things make it less ideal for business (no desk in my room, slow WiFi), but great free breakfast. Other things are just a part of the experience (occasional porn in TV, blackout curtains in public hallways for privacy, overly spacious bathroom with built in TV).

Hotel very clean and neat. Lobby was not as inviting but acceptable. The rooms and building was bery clean but outdated. The location was undoubtedly very convenient. Restaurants galore nearby, selection incredible. Large shopping mall and metro stations within 7 min walk. Most of the staff we encountered spoke some English and we managed to communicate, no issues. Breakfast was very good and the variety offered was more than adequate. Our was included in the room price. Very happy with our selection. Recommended.

Perfect place to stay in Osaka
Room was clean and spacious. Jacuzzi was wonderful after a long day. Breakfast was tasty with healthy choices. Staff really went over and beyond. Will definitely stay there on my next visit. Oh forgot to mention location was right in the middle between dotombori and Kuromon market, perfect!

This hotel was around a 5 min walk from Namba station. The location was 10/10. So many food options nearby and izakayas/bars. The whole area comes alive at night. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the rooms were massive. The massage chair was so helpful after walking 20k steps a day. There's also karaoke in the room and a speaker system lol, we never used it but thought it was cool. The people at the front desk were very helpful, especially Yokoyama. She went above and beyond to make our stay great. We ended up cancelling one of our other Osaka hotels to stay here an extra night as we enjoyed it so much. It is a love hotel but I believe those rooms are separate from the hotel rooms. Breakfast was also included, it was a bit basic but honestly was good enough. I would stay here again 👍

This was my second stay at Hotel Alps, and just as before my room was large, beautiful and clean. Loaded with all the amenities I could ask for. The hotel staff were friendly, kind and thoughtful. When raining outside they greeted me with an umbrella and invited me to a breakfast every morning. The walking distance to the train station, taxi stands, bars, restaurants and much more is so convenient for me as a solo traveler. I look forward to staying here every time I come to Osaka.

Property was located in the middle of everything, east walking distance and low noise. Amenities inside the room offered more then I could have imagined. Room was big and spacious. For a one night mini vacation during COVID times it was very enjoyable for this awesome discount! The suite on the 13th floor was very roomy and came with a massage chair and jacuzzi tub! The receptionists were also very accommodating upon checking in as well as helping us activate the karaoke in our room. All in all, a comfortable experience that’s not far away from Namba station!

Everything was perfect about this hotel. The rooms were large and the staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was right in the middle of everything. You are a few minutes away from the subway station that transports you to and from the airport as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone as i am most definitely staying in this hotel again next time i am in Osaka.

Nice little hotel in the heart of Namba
If you're looking for a grand hotel with a large luxurious lobby, then this hotel isn't for you. But if you're fine with a quaint and modest little hotel then this may be the one for you. We got very good service while there and since it's not very large, more personal. The breakfast was great and we looked forward to it each morning. Location is perfect as it's right in the middle of the major shopping areas and very close to Namba station (7 min walk). We got the Deluxe Double Room and was extremely pleased with the size which was double the size of most rooms in Japan. The bed was a futon type instead of a regular mattress so not as comfortable but still acceptable. All in all, we were very satisfied with our stay at Hotel Alps and would stay there again if back in Namba.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Alps for 4 nights in December. The hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from Namba station which takes around 35min on the train from Kansai airport. The hotel is also a short walk to Dotonbori and surrounded by plenty of eateries and shopping and entertainment venues! While the hotel is on the older side it is immaculately clean and the rooms are large and very comfortable. Our room came with a king size bed, huge TV, own massage chair and private jacuzzi! Two bottles of water were provided everyday with water refill stations on each floor. Snacks were also provided daily as were an abundance of very high quality toiletries (we were amazed at the selection). Locals use the hotel as a Love Hotel and during our stay we did encounter a few businessmen checking in with younger ladies, however this was not an issue to us at all (there were plenty of families with children staying in the hotel so it is definitely family friendly despite being a Love Hotel) All staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. To protect the privacy of patrons the reception desks are not manned (you need to press a bell if you require a staff member for check-in and checkout) Overall, we couldn’t fault the hotel and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great services. Room is bigger than I have expected. Friendly staffs especially a lady that preparing breakfast. The location is perfect and close to the shopping mall and also restaurants. Everything is within a walking distance. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and I would stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it especially someone with family.
