Wonderful
The house was just as advertised, but even better than in the photos. The bedding, kitchen supplies were all very generous. The kayaks were a lot of fun for the kids. I loved being so close to the beach for long walks. It’s a very very nice house ! And lovely location.

Wonderful base for a Maria Island trip
The Lodge was a fantastic place to stay for our group of two families. Lots of room, well equipped kitchen, and even sea kayaks. We used this as a base for a day trip to Maria Island, being less than 10minutes to drive to the ferry terminal. Craig was very responsive to all communications, and I would love to come back and stay for a longer time to explore more of this beautiful area of Tasmania.

Girls over 65 Orford stay.
7 of us friends enjoyed our 2 night stay at “The Lodge”. We were expecting Bob (Hawke) to meet us !!! We enjoyed our stay, plenty of room, beds comfortable and great showers 👍 We went over to Maria Island as my father was born and lived on the Island in 1924 for 12 years. Had a lovely time. Good place to stay.

Great location with loads of options
House is super clean and spacious with all amenities available. Wonderful flat front yard to enjoy a BBQ. Also, very close to beach access and a walking path to take in the sea views. We had a great time there at the Easter holidays. While the weather wasn't totally on our side on some days, we had plenty of games to play in the large living space.

Great family property
Great property for a couple of families, every thing, plus more for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The bikes and kayaks were a huge plus and made the day for the kids. Beds were extremely comfortable and ample room for all. A very easy short walk to the beach everything was as described. great communication from hosts who were very helpful. Would definatley book again.

An awesome time away
The house was incredibly clean, spacious for our two families, and gave us a number of entertainment options for all ages. Close to the beach and walks, a very quiet neighbourhood, and while it is a corner block, it also felt very private. Craig and Narelle have done an excellent job with this house, and we can't wait to visit again.

Great space, great location
Space is exactly as advertised. Clean, spacious plenty of room for kids to play while parents relax. Great location right near the beach but close enough for a quick walk to cafe for a coffee. Craig and Narelle very accommodating.

Modern and clean
The Lodge at Orford is modern , clean and well presented . A well equiped 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom modern house within walking distance of Shelley Beach and a short drive to coffee shop, supermarket and newsagent. We highly recommend The Lodge for a holiday stay .

Holiday in comfort!
Fantastic house, location and facilities. Good place for 2-3 family groups. Enjoyed that the cupboards had lots of equipment including sharp knives (so many places don't have adequate knives!) and a toasted sandwich maker. Beds were also brilliant, so comfortable. Great lawn for kids games.

Orford mini break
The house is lovely, modern, clean and really well set up for a large group. (You can actually seat 10 people -or more!-around the dining table!) We happened to be staying when the bridge over the Orford Rivulet washed away. Craig was fabulous communicating information and news, quickly, and offering to let us stay an extra night.

Perfect for two families
A lovely few days away in beautiful Orford with our two families - nine in total. Spacious living area with a great entertaining kitchen, outdoor area and everything you really need. Nice to have the bikes and the location near Shelley Beach makes for gorgeous beach walks and easy rides

Absolutely Beautiful
This property was perfect for our family. Providing a large landscaped front yard with plenty of space for children to ride their bikes and play ball games. The outdoor area is so well planned and cozy. Inside spacious with absolutely everything we needed and more. Thanks Craig and Narelle we will be back!

Excellent family holiday house. Big yard that is perfect for cricket, lots of kayaks etc
We had an excellent stay at The Lodge with our extended family. The bunk room was perfect for all the kids and the backyard is perfect for family cricket games. The pizza oven was a lovely surprise and made great pizza too. The house is in great condition and is well fitted out with everything you could need. Craig and Narelle were great hosts, responding quickly to any queries we had. Would love to come back again.

Absoluetly AMAZING!!!!
My family and I stayed here for a weekend in July, It was the most amazing home with everything you could possibly need. awesome located short walk to the beach and shops, huge yard for the your children. Owners were so lovely and made sure that our stay was memorable- I cannot recommend this property enough- If you want 5 star accommodation at an affordable price this is your net stay :)

Lovely house, lots of room and great area
Fantastic and comfortable house for a relaxing family holiday. Beach an easy walk as is the pizza shop. Highly recommended.
