"The house in a great spot close to everything, walking distance to restaurants. It has most anything you need, well thought out. Plenty of parking. We ride ATVs, the town is very friendly towards them! ATV trail access close by. We even had deer visit us in the back yard! The host was extremely quick at responding to all my questions!"

"The house was like a home away from home! Thank you so much for such a wonderful place to stay. The place was clean and tidy and had everything you could think of for the kitchen. The pet friendly was awesome our 2 dogs travel with us and had water bowls, towels to dry them, and even a tie out!! Definitely recommend staying here!"

"The Machias River Inn being my first time being there, and living in the state of Maine it was 10/10. The cleanest room that you can tell was cleaned properly (I’ve stayed elsewhere in the state and can tell when housekeeping leaves behind trash visible in plain sight it wasn’t cleaned or swept). Helen’s restaurant has the best pie and it’s right on the property. The waterfront views were remarkable! We watched seals every morning. Also not to take away from guides but honestly if you go to any beach nearby you’re going to see Seals and puffins if you don’t want to pay the cost of a boat tour!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Beach. The views are incredible. It is extremely private and quiet. The beach area was much larger than I expected and it's only for you! The home is very well stocked. The cupboards were so full that we didn't have room for all of the food we brought. That's not a bad thing. It just goes to show how stocked it is! Despite being at the height of summer, the house remained pleasantly cool without air conditioning. I loved the fresh ocean breezes while I slept (very comfortable beds, by the way). The grocery store is only about 20 minutes away. Nearby Jasper beach is one of the coolest beaches I have ever been to. Our host, Sue, left us a welcome gift of wine and custom soap which was so kind and thoughtful."

"This was our second stay, and it was just as wonderful as the first! The house has everything you need and the views are absolutely amazing. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet, while still being close enough to town for dinner or a coffee. We absolutely love staying here, and it’s an added bonus that our dog gets to enjoy it with us too. We can’t wait to come back!"
