Some good points: easy location, ample free parking, and large rooms with balconies. However this hotel clearly isn’t run to the same high standards as others in the chain. The decor has bumps, scrapes and marks everywhere, and it’s not acceptable to let black mould grow in the shower. "

"Absolutely loved our stay at Marriott hotel. We were here for a long weekend as our son was playing in the Ghent festival. We requested a quiet room, so were at the back of the hotel. This was great as not too affected by the noise of the festival when going to bed.
The hotel was very clean, our room was spacious with very comfortable beds. The hotel food and service were very good. We will definitely return next year. Highly recommend. "

"The hotel was about a mile into town and a beautiful walk along the canal. Room was spacious and had all we needed. Breakfast was fantastic. Buffet of cold items and breads/pastries, fruit, etc, and hot items made to order from a menu. Absolutely delicious and all local/homemade. Parking was metered right in front and spaces available. Overnight parking was free and we only had to pay after 9am. We had a great stay here."
