Nice hotel, room was a bit tired, staff at reception and breakfast very professional but friendly, good location right on the port, in walking distance to restaurants of Porto rotondo, we sat by the pool most days as loungers on beach were occupied and was surprised that no one ever came to ask if we wanted a drink but on the whole we enjoyed our stay

Staff was very attentive and helpful, the beach nice but rocky, and the pools lack shade but are nice, salt water. We had children but hotel is not well catered for children. The restaurant is very expensive and beware of ordering food from the beach or pool, EACH order carries a heavy service charge. Location is perfect, right on the marina

We stayed only one night and I wish we were there longer. The surrounding community has so much to offer with shops, restaurants and the marina. The beach at this hotel is beautiful! The breakfast was also delicious. We did face a couple of challenges in our room where the AC did not work and the shower leaked to make the floor very wet. Otherwise the room was large and the bed was comfortable.

The grounds were simply breathtaking. Its own private beaches with outstanding views. Quaint library room stocked with books, multiple cozy areas with plush couches all over the hotel where one can sit and relax, multiple dining areas, beautiful pools, delicious buffet breakfast, direct access to the marina walkway bringing you to multiple restaurants, cafes and shopping. The hotel hostess, Carla, is an absolute gem and catered to our every need. Alessandro took incredible care of us at breakfast and preempted our daily coffee and tea requests :) The rooms are fine, although brittle bed sheets and not great pillows but that would not deter me from returning. Even the chamber maids made sure we had what we needed and bent over backwards to accommodate. I absolutely loved my stay and look forward to a return visit.

My husband, three year old daughter and I stayed at this lovely hotel for 4 nights. The staff and service, the property, the room and food were incredible. When I was originally booking our lodging for this trip, I was deciding between this hotel and another. I told my husband multiple times during our stay that I was SO glad we chose Hotel sporting. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and great shower pressure. There were so many beautiful views around the property. The included breakfast was wonderful-I looked forward to it every morning. The surrounding marina had great options for dining each night as well! We were all very sad to leave!

Gammelt og veldig tradisjonelt drevet hotell med fin beliggenhet. Trenger oppgradering også i forhold til hvordan de ivaretar sine gjester, de som gjør rent gjør en god jobb og frokost er ok. Det er omtrent tomt på kvelden. Lite fasiliteter utenom strand. Kunne vært et skikkelig treningsrom, sykler m.m Men vi ar reist hit flere ganger pga beliggenhet

The place is nice but ... I regret to say…

A good team of hard working ladies kept the place clean. Beach however had a rather coarse sand pebbles and rocks mixed with vegetal debris in parts of it. Water was far from a blue flag since hundreds of boats, some of them absurdly huge, steamed in and out eventually anchoring in front of the hotel to entertain clients. 2 nights we had probably drunken yachtpeople karaoke until 1am as they were anchored near us. The place is pricey and probably posh. I am not sure. There were two pools. One they keep cleaning but nobody used and the other not serviced but people wanted to use… Communication with people was often difficult despite goodwill ( mine and usually theirs). I paid a higher tariff for the option “pay at the property” I paid a big upfront, 4 days accommodation value just after entering the hotel and the rest by transfer. For few minutes the reception guy wanted to keep me in the reception until he receives bank confirmation. Eventually he allowed me to go to room, take shower and cover the rest of the stay by bank transfer. It was a bad start. I asked for a proforma. Impossible… for obscure reasons. Massimo was the nice waiter. Most of them were like that but two grumpy guys were in the team too. In my humble opinion Spa, Coffee machine, gym are required for 5 stars. Most of these were not there or I was not made aware that thy really exist and work. The restaurant building is beautiful in an original rustic style. The food choice is rather narrow.

2 Night Stay

We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Sporting while our yacht was anchored in the Port, the hotel is in a lovely position with great views out to the sea. The feature that was most pleasant was the attitude of the staff who were all very attentive, particularly Ivo and Roberto in the restaurants who looked after our every need, so well done to them. The food and cocktails were very good, the rooms are typically Sardinian style and were particularly clean. The only improvement could be some nice sunbed cushions rather than the basic mesh beds you find in cheaper hotels around Italy. All in all though a very enjoyable stay!

Amazing location and awesome property directly on the beach. Vintage style with loads of charm and class. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant service and gorgeous food. Check in process took too long and should be improved.

Hotel che per certo può ancora essere avvicinato agli hotel della mitica CIGA anche se riletti alla luce del tempo purtroppo trascorso. Location impeccabile. Cura maniacale del giardino. Bella è certamente di effetto la nuova piscina “a raso” fronte mare.unico dubio l’ampliamento della struttura. Peccato per la presenza di nuovi ospiti certamente molto facoltosi e dediti alla vodka ma altrettanto per certo cafoni es. a tavola berretto in testa pantaloni corti ecc. Per il resto un’esperienza da ripetere.
