The most exceptional hotel. Wonderful service and facilities in a beautiful setting.

Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel reception was very good and although we were well ahead of the official checkin time gave us a room straight away. Very welcome for a couple of weary travellers. The area around the village of Ettal is very scenic and interesting with the large " Kloster" across the road and several of King Ludwig's castles including Neuschwanstein and villa Linderhof within an easy drive. We found the food in the restaurant very good and the buffet breakfast had excellent...

Beautiful location overlooking Abbey was unexpected. Staff extremely friendly. Dinner in restaurant was excellent and holy recommended even if not staying in hotel. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Glad we made choice to stay at Blaue Gams on our drive along Alpine Drive.

Check in prompt all staff excellent and very helpfull , Meals in restaurant very good quality and good value. No lift in hotel, not problem for us but maybe for some people, Great location on the lakeside. Our room was a bit basic but it was the only one available at time of booking, there are bir gger and better ones according to reception. we would gladly stay again if in the area.
