Extremely elegant and beautiful hotel. Room size is huge and such a rarity for Tokyo. The garden is a dream. Not too many public transportation options but is walkable to a couple metro stations and there are free shuttle buses to and from Ikebukuro station which could be handy. Staff are super helpful.
Can’t wait to go back!

The hotel was brand new, with lovely wooden floors and decor. Check in was easy and welcoming and location is close to shops, restaurants and Ueno station. The room is a large open space (we had three people in the flower room). There was also a portable cooking hob if you need to do simple cooking. We thought it was great value for the busy season we were in Tokyo. There wasn’t much to fault, only one minor things which may have made the stay even better- another option for pillow (although this may have been available, and I just didn’t ask).

Brand new property from the MONday chain. Rooms are large with Apart-Hotel style amenities.
Washer and dryer in the room made it quite convenient.
Rooms are fully functional and only small minor complains.
The proximity to the VERY busy Yamanote and Shinkansen lines literally on your window made it slightly inconvenient, although it was not horrible...
The AC blows literally on the beds. There was no way to change the direction of the flow. It would help tremendously to put a diverter in the AC unit.

Cycling trip
Nice welcome from the staff and friendly throughout stay. Pleasant meal in the evening. Good baths / rotenburo. Doesn’t seem to be much in the immediate vicinity. Used the hotel as a stopover during a long cycle ride.
