Paper thin walls really impacted on the stay. I woke my wife to stop her snoring only to discover it was the person next door I was hearing. Hotel in beautiful setting. Breakfast was really nice and staff are very polite and friendly.

Good view of the Lake

After we upgraded our room, we were much happier and it had a view of the lake. The initial room was supposedly with a courtyard view but there wasn’t one and it was so cramped. We had a lovely stay. The meals were good and the staff very helpful and pleasant

Amazing location great view across the lawns to the lake not a fancy hotel but good solid choice . Friendly staff.big room firm comfy beds .tremendous value for money . Did not eat meals as had other arrangements but some people were eating there

A little gem overlooking Rutland Water.

A warm welcome at reception. On a very hot day it was wonderful to step into my room and find a fan on. All staff were friendly and helpful. My room was spotless and had everything I needed. The large bed was very comfortable. I had dinner and breakfast, both were very tasty. The dinner menu had an excellent selection of food. Free parking close to my room was very welcome. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for your excellent service and hospitality.

Fab location. Staff very nice.

Fab location right on the lake. Staff are great. Rooms are basic but functional. Food ok with good selection for breakfast. Lovely open fire in bar area. Plenty of parking.

I cant recommend this hotel enough right from check in to check out the staff were super friendly and helpful they couldnt do enough for you and the bed was super comfy we will definitely stay here again if in the local area Prices are reasonable for food and cooked very well, breakfast was a buffet help yourself and has a varied choice for everyone and willing to do extras if needed fresh choice of eggs etc. Thank you for the lovely stay would recommend the luffenham room lovely view and very spacious.

Great experience

Perfect location for an overnight stay when visiting the horse trials. Parking is via the parking eye so details to be entered at reception. Advise booking a table in advance for dinner. Food was lovely, fresh and quick to arrive.

Friendly staff. It was right next to Rutland water so great for a morning stroll or just nice to have a great view to admire over breakfast. . Picture on the website does not really do it justice, it looks far better when you arrive, especially the front courtyard entrance.

Lovely lakeside retreat

Lovely stay in an excellently located hotel by Rutland Water. Watched sunset over the lake from the conservatory restaurant. Excellent food and service. Comfortable room and lovely garden leading down to the waterfront foot/cycle path. Cycle hire 10 minutes walk away. Great place to get away from it all in a beautiful rural setting
