This is a very convenient place to stay within the downtown area of Pepeete. It is across the street from the area where the cruise ships dock. The staff were very professional, efficient, and helpful. Our room was small and fairly standard, with a window. There is some street noise, but it didn't really bother us. The king bed was very comfortable. This is not a fancy hotel, but very safe. We booked through Expedia, which indicated that our booking included a breakfast. However, when we checked in, we were told we were not eligible for this since we booked through Expedia. It would be an additional $33. We opted to eat down the street. What we missed most was an electrical outlet. There were none in the bathroom, and we didn't find any in the room. There was a USB plugin in the lamp for charging phones. In general, we found no American style electric outlets, and would certainly travel with an adapter next time.

I had an amazing experience staying here. I stayed at 4 hotels in the French Polynesian and this was by far the best stay. It was also the first one of my trip and none of the others were comparable. While majority of the amenities are not free the staff and ocean views make up for it.

Manava Resort is an absolute dream! You feel like you've stepped straight into a fantasy world that movies are made to model. There is so much that sets them apart, but the deep level of care and kindness shows by the staff really takes Manava to level of hospitality that is unmatched. The views are absolutely breathtaking! Don't miss a sunset or sunrise. Getting straight into the ocean from a private bungalow over the water is like nothing you could put into words. The location is great. It's not far (maybe 15 mins) from the ferry terminal and taxis are easy to come by. Honestly, we never felt the need or want to leave the resort as they had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! 20/10 recommend!!
