Kiri (Asiatischer Elefant, links) und Yvonne (Afrikanischer Elefant, rechts) Tiergarten Nürnberg. Nachdem die Elefantendame Kiri im August 2007 nach einem Sturz nicht wieder aufzurichten war und eingeschläfert werden musste war die afrikanische Elefantendame Yvonne allein zurückgeblieben. Sie zog im Juli 2008 aufgrund ihres Alters in den Zoo Rostock um, da der Aufstieg in ihr Gehege im Tiergarten zu beschwerlich geworden war und sie im Zoo Rostock in Elefantendame Sara eine neue Gefährtin hatte. Am 23. April 2009 verstarb sie dort.
