"Just like to start off my saying how lovely it was to be welcomed in by such friendly staff! The location and hall were kept pristine! Breakfast was amazing, which the staff topped off with their excellent service! We didn’t have time to go to the spa which was unfortunate but we will definitely be back again to try it out!"

"Hotel has a lovely location right on the river and ideal for accessing Hadrian’s wall. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast which was good especially after a full day of cycling."

"We had a lovely stay at The Hog’s Head Inn. The room was really comfortable and, most importantly, actually spacious enough for a family of five! 😂 All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was great too. A brilliant option for families and we’d definitely stay again."

"The hotel had plenty of easy to use parking. The staff were very professional and helpful; kindly helping me with arrangements to attend a funeral. The room was clean. There was an issue with the sink plug but that was rectified on reporting. Breakfast was a treat - love a full English!!"

"Stayed several times and would recommend. Excellent staff, newly refurbished, great breakfast, parking a bit tight so arrive early especially if you want to use the EV charging.... 2 hybrids requiring only a few hours hogged both chargers for 12 hours. Rooms are not air conditioned so warm on a hot day but rare in Newcastle."
