We had to switch our room twice in order to accept staying here. A/C’ not working, ceiling fan in room not operating, other ceiling fan over the master bed was wobbly and loud. Mold in the bathroom, so bad it not only looked awful, it made us feel sick. The cooler didn’t work, no towels, missing one remote and trash can. The only towels we received daily were 3 bath towels and 1 hand towel. Never will recommend to anyone I know.

The property is very nice, but secluded leaving little to do off property. This property is better suited for families than couples. We upgraded to the swim in suite and the noise from all the games at the kids pool all day long, took away from our relaxation. Mixed reviews on the food. The buffet is just okay and the Japanese restaurant is not worth the reservation. The italian restaurant was phenomenal and the fish tacos at the adult pool were great. Staff do not recognize the difference in wristband colors, so upgrading is not worth the cost. The adult pool bartender was dismissive and was only interested in the female clients. The saving grace for us was Alejandro at the Lobby Bar. The gym and the spa were closed and no advance warning was given nor was any credit offered for oir inconvenience. We ran out of toilet paper in our room and had to call twice to get it replenished. Overall, it was not as advertised and our trip was middle of the road.

I was not happy with this hotel at all. Upon arrival, every single chair at the pool and at the beach were “reserved” by other guest placing their belongings on the chairs. There is a sign that you cannot save seats for more than 30 minutes. It was observed the next day that people were placing their stuff on the pool AND Beach chairs at 7am. I went to the concierge for help to find us some chairs and there was no one to help because they were closed throughout my stay. The food is at best mediocre. The same things are served everyday at the buffet. For breakfast, it was a nightmare. We were in line to eat for 30 minutes at 9am then when we finally got into the “restaurant “, there was no food left in the catering pans. I brought these concerns up to multiple people, and they didn’t really care to help me. It was the same price as surrounding hotels I’ve previously been to. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. It was rough to say the least.

The ocean there was amazing. Our room with beach view was amazing. Our only complaint was this place filled with so many locals on the weekend. Two weddings on the beach happened over the weekend and it took up beach space. So we were packed in like sardines on the beach area that was available 4-5 rows deep of beach chairs full of people. You can’t see the water or catch the breeze in the back rows. But during the week days it was quieter and much more enjoyable.

Great location, great service staff. Edgar took amazing care of us at the adult pool. Checking in and being treated like VIPs was indeed a bonus and we got the OneKey room upgrade. The rooms has a few bruises from the high volume of guests. Minor maintainance on light up mirror and TP holder needed. Rooms was clean. Food is excellent. I would highly recommend staying at Krystal Grand.

This is not a 4 star property! We have been mislead by Expedia and they will not take responsibility for the missing amenities and things that were advertised on the Expedia platform which we did not receive at the resort. False advertising and we will be settling our stay in small claims court for the false advertisement. Our money has been taken and we didn’t receive what we paid for ! Let this be a warning to anyone booking through Expedia . Worst travel experience in our lives .

Everyone is very friendly and it feels like home. Leonardo showed us great customer service when we asked to upgrade our room. The resort is clean. Only one restaurant was open at the time we stayed there and the food was ok. Buffet has many options, but for some reason it wasn’t appetising for us. Nice beach and very swimmable.

Pros: Location - beach is nice; walking distance to Bucerias Pools - variety Altitude perks - if you book with Expedia you check in at Altitude and get access to that room as well as pre book all your a la cartes. Room view - the main hotel has stunning views of the entire property. Hot showers - every time Felt safe on resort and off Friendly staff (adult pool bartenders and waiters were awesome) Clean resort - they are ALWAYS cleaning and doing some sort of maintenance to keep the resort up Nighttime shows - very good, especially MJ and the Fire Show Beach access Matched reviews; got what we paid for Cleaned rooms everyday Stock mini fridge daily Cons (and they aren't issues that would prevent us from returning to Krystal Grand) Not enough sun chairs with umbrellas and in adult pool; people would reserve them so early and not be there for hours A La Carte Restaurants - not that great Beds awful - double beds and wouldn't use the sofa bed for our son as it was not well kept. No boiling water for tea - I drink tea and not once did I find hot boiling water No ice cream, popsicle or gelato for kids Not enough seats for entertainment - no specific area except in pool court yard No evening atmosphere - no where to sit/cards/visiting; lack of seating in lobby or anywhere else after supper to have drinks or play cards, etc. Sky Bar - needs an update and to be more inviting Game room restrictions - 14 year old couldn't sign out a ball without an adult

While this resort did have a nice adults only pool & the ground were kept up well…we really did not enjoy the food, entertainment, or overall vibe of staff interactions. We did find certain bartenders who were great so I would like to credit those who at least smiled. My previous resort stays in Mexico all felt very welcoming. However this time the person checking us in was on her phone the entire time, no welcome drink, and almost no explanation of the grounds of the establishment. Buffet food was very mediocre. The first day we felt concerted the food had been left out for a long period of time or reheated. Unfortunately one of the people in our group got very sick from dinner on our last night from one of the restaurants. We did have a fun experience overall, but would probably spend a bit more next time to stay in a better location. Some positives: If you book through Expedia, you were able to make dinner reservations for the following day while others have to wait in line day-of to make reservations. The pool was great and the swim up pool bar was inviting. The rooftop bar was a great late night spot for drinks and socialization—it did however smell?

Towels are dingy and they stink, shower had constant leak , safe was corroded and needed a battery that took almost an hour to get, the property overall is NOT what it used to be back in 2019 or before , the place is run down . Service is bad and no one really cares much to give on time service. Waiters are few and only one server at the beach . I will never go back !

Nice resort. Would be better if there was an airport shuttle. Also not a lot to do around the property if you want to do this ga off resort. Otherwise nice vacation.

My room looked nothing like the pics. I would rate it 2/5. Dining is horrible. They need a better process for making reservations. Getting in line at 6am and concierge doesn’t get to the desk at 8am and still not able to get a reservation is INSANE! Staff was friendly. They will try and get you to attend a timeshare presentation for 90 mins for a free couples massage. We didn’t travel all the way to Mexico to be pressured into buying a timeshare so we declined each time we were approached. Overall rating 3/5 (and that’s me being very generous with the 3). The property itself is beautiful, but I wouldn’t stay here again nor recommend.

Spent seven days and had a great time. The service at the lobby and front desk was different. Once we figured out to go through the PV Room (1st floor) for all our needs including our dinner reservations things went much smoother. The adult pool was BEAUTIFUL but plan on being at the pool no later than 8 am if you want a chair. It was frustrating to have chairs with towels on them set empty all day. It’s clearly posted that chairs cant be reserved for more than 30 or 45 minutes but not at all enforced.

The resort is okay for the cost. It seem like they have too many rules in the resort. They charge for room service, although it's an ALL-Inclusive place. If your Room key gets lost they willl charge you that fee fee for a new one. I would not go back but the resort over all is not bad if you want to deal with the nonsense fees and lack of service.
