"An absolutely wonderful cottage in fantastic grounds. A real country getaway. We enjoyed a lovely winter pre-Christmas break here and it was a great base from which to explore North Norfolk and the coast. "This is a very interesting place to stay and the hosts provided a very generous basket of goodies and kindly showed us around the windmill. The accommodation is in the building connected to the windmill. We had a lovely weekend, but would look for accommodation with more rooms/space if doing again. "Staff were all very friendly. The whole hotel seemed very clean and out room was spotles. Had all amenities for tea/coffee, working tv and extra pillows."

"I had a wonderful stay at The Annesley. The parking was easy, safe & reasonably priced - you can walk into Norwich city centre in under 10 minutes, its very straightforward. Perfect location and they kindly gave me a room towards the back, which I found quiet. The room was clean, tidy & well equipped for a small room (which I’d requested/paid for) - it was so much better than I’d expected it to be. A lovely sitting room on the ground floor for reading or socialising & it was also nice to have a drink in the garden (good weather). The bar was easily accessible & the 3 staff members I encountered during my stay were all friendly. I didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on the food, but from what I did see it looked lovely! Would highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for somewhere to stay in Norwich, especially if you’re wanting to explore the castle, cathedral or city centre."

"Enjoyed our brief stay at St Giles House. We were only in our room to sleep (straight after seeing ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ at Norwich Theatre) and had breakfast first thing in the morning, so we didn’t spend very much time at the hotel. Our one and only issue is the curtains in our room; they are so thin, the street light outside, which was on throughout the night, made it feel like it was still daylight. Suffice it to say, neither of us slept well. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and is clean throughout, though."

"Absolutely lovely staff. Room was very good, excellent bathroom, storage space and comfortable bed. Only two areas for improvement: my room was above the bar and the music was a bit annoying, it was the sort of dance pop music you get in supermarkets. Disappointing that it was playing throughout the public areas downstairs, including the restaurant. I like music and have no problem with it! But it was just the wrong music to enjoy dinner with. The other area for improvement is the breakfast arrangement. I don't mind a buffet but it would have been better if coffee was served to order, not left in an insulated jug so only just warm enough. Apart from the music and the coffee at breakfast I was very happy with my stay."
