"Property is beautiful. Checking in was a disaster. Restaurant was mediocre at best. Breakfast was a horrible experience. Kept moving to different rooms every morning. Had dry cereal but no milk. Waffle maker but no butter for waffles. Only had orange juice and/or apple juice. On one of the three days. Powdered eggs and sausage were cold every day. "

"Large, clean and spacious. Kitchen was well supplied for equipment. AC was sufficient for our April stay. Internet was slow on 2 of our 4 devices oddly enough. Was full of old house quirks including one of two showers that was difficult to use given the strange showerhead hookup and cheap curtain that flew around, and nobody liked the loose decorative tile everywhere - that'd be awful with toddlers. Full of old house charm. Owner was responsive."

"Staff was great. Appearance from outside was nice. Room was a disaster, ac screamed most of the time. TV was very small and poorly positioned. Tack strip between carpet and tile had nails sticking up. Breakfast was disappointing. "

"Inside Home: Very roomy, kitchen was fully stocked with any dish you could need, bed was very comfortable, shower was hot and nice, couch was comfy and no issues with WiFi.Outside Home: the lake was amazing, plenty of fish to catch, kayaks available to take on the lake, front porch for sitting in the morning, side deck for relaxing in the evening. Did not have a chance to enjoy the fire pit or hammock due to the rain conditions, but it looked really nice as well. Hosts: very easy to get along with and personable, helpful with anything we would need. Overall: We will definitely be returning to this location as it is only an hour from home and a perfect getaway tucked into the woods by a private lake. Just what we needed to relax and enjoy our 16 year wedding anniversary!"
