"Stuff was rude"

"We arrived at the hotel and were told the elevator broke down the day before and would not be fixed anytime soon. In addition there were no rooms available on the first floor. We were a family of 10 people including grandparents, parents and 6 kids between the ages of 2 and 11. Our 2 year old grandchild has a broken leg and is in a brace so carrying her and her stroller up and down stairs for 4 days would have been a nightmare. They did offer us rooms at their sister hotel for the same price but they didn’t have any bigger rooms available. Luckily we were able to find another hotel and everything worked out ok. I understand things break down and I don’t blame the hotel for that but it would have been nice to get that information the day before or sometime before we arrived and were left to scramble at the last minute."

"First, the room was what I reserved and EXTREMELY CLEAN! We asked for towels and received within minutes. The badness... hotel was under construction. Front entrance, garage and valet were closed. Had to park in casino parking with no cart for suitcases and no bell hop. Had to enter through the casino. Cigarette smoke and alcohol were the first smells I encountered. The temp checkin was halfway through the building. No maps, no explicit direction. We aimlessly walked until we found the desk. Check in was quick. Directions to the room were vague. We found the room by searching with the signs and guesswork. The resturants advertised were not open. We went to little Six casino for dinner. Order was not delivered as ordered. Tasted like microwave food. I threw up what i could eat before leaving. Stopped at reservation desk and asked about the other resturants and was told they may or may not be open the next day. The only one open was the sports lounge and the fast food. I need to mention these were open Friday night and Saturday. We left Sunday and had to check out at the desk at the front of the hotel since it was finally open. Was offered a ride to the casino parking but after 15 min he walked to the other parking lot and drove back to get our luggage and me. Totally did not advertise construction and was not sympathetic to physical handicaps of the guests paying to stay. Would've left the first night if I wouldn't have lost my money. Did not go to gamble."

"This hotel definitely needed some TLC. There was paint chipping in our shower ceiling, door to the bathroom was bubbling on the bottom from water damage and our door to our room wouldn't latch so had to slam it shut. One of the beds was bowing. But the staff working our first night was super friendly and helpful in getting bedding for the pull out couch. Not sure if I'd stay again though."

"Great surprise. I wasn’t expecting something so good, but I definitely got it. For the price, this hotel is amazing! Clean, quiet, and relatively safe. It’s not a Hilton that costs $700 a night, so it’s not glamorous but I felt safe, enjoyed the hot tub, and spent four days relaxing with my partner. That’s a win for me."
