About this property

Lighthouse Lodge-Lion's Head, Tobermory, The Grotto, Flowerpot, Bruce Trail

  • Welcome to Lighthouse Lodge, a Waterfront Log Home on the shore of Georgian Bay in the picturesque village of Lion's Head, Ontario
Close access to the Grotto, Flowerpot Island, and the nautical village of Tobermory.,

Where the Bruce Trail meets Georgian Bay… and every afternoon ends with a sunset.

This is not just a cottage. It is a place where you can wake to the sound of a flowing creek, spend the afternoon on the water, hike one of Ontario's most spectacular trails, gather around the campfire with family and friends, and finish the day watching the sun disappear across the bay.

And you can do almost all of it without getting in your car.

TOBERMORY, is accessible by a short drive. The spectacular setting of Tobermory with world class scuba-diving, boat tours, shipwrecks, a boat trip to Flowerpot Island, the Grotto, Singing Sands beach, and incredible dining options is at your fingertips.

YOUR OWN PIECE OF GEORGIAN BAY

Lighthouse Lodge sits directly on the shoreline with beautiful northwest-facing views toward **Lion's Head Marina and the iconic Lion's Head lighthouse**.

The orientation is magical in the afternoon. As the sun moves across the sky, the property comes alive with warm afternoon light before giving way to spectacular sunsets over Georgian Bay.

Step outside and enjoy your private shoreline, dock, waterfront seating and campfire area. Bring your morning coffee down to the water. Launch a kayak. Skip stones with the kids. Enjoy a glass of wine as the sun sets.

Then stay outside a little longer.
The stars over the bay are something special.

    A LOG HOME WITH CHARACTER

The main lodge is a beautifully crafted custom log home that combines the warmth and character of a traditional cottage with the comforts you expect from a modern vacation home.

Inside, the natural wood, rustic details and generous living spaces create an inviting atmosphere for families and groups to gather.

There is room to spread out, relax and enjoy one another's company without feeling crowded.

The sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate larger families or groups:

    Master bedroom:** Queen bed
    Second bedroom:** Double bed
Third bedroom:** Custom log bunk bed with a single over a double. My personal favourite.
Detached bunkie:** Queen bed and single bed

The detached bunkie is especially appealing for families with older children, teenagers, grandparents or guests who would appreciate their own private retreat.

THE CREEK, WATERFALL & WATER WHEEL

Perhaps the most enchanting feature of the property isn't even the bay.

A beautiful natural creek winds its way from the escarpment, through the grounds, flowing over waterfalls and past a charming water wheel before eventually emptying into Georgian Bay. It gives the property an almost storybook quality.
Imagine sitting beside the water listening to the creek while the kids explore the property. Or enjoying the peaceful sound of running water as you relax after a day of hiking.

It is one of those features that photographs beautifully—but is even better experienced in person.

HIKE THE FAMOUS LION'S HEAD TRAIL — RIGHT FROM THE LODGE

Outdoor enthusiasts will love the location.

The Bruce Trail is essentially at your doorstep, with access to the famous **Lion's Head Lookout** trail just a few minutes walk away.

The Lion's Head Lookout is renowned for dramatic Niagara Escarpment scenery and spectacular views over the surrounding Georgian Bay shoreline.

You can start your day with a hike, return to the lodge for lunch, spend the afternoon swimming or relaxing by the water, and still have plenty of time to enjoy the sunset.

    No complicated itinerary required.

    WALK TO THE VILLAGE

One of Lighthouse Lodge's greatest advantages is its location.

You are close enough to walk into the charming village of Lion's Head for local restaurants, groceries, LCBO, the beach, marina and other amenities. Public property information likewise highlights the nearby harbour, sandy beach, marina, grocery store and local dining.

Spend the morning exploring the village.

    Grab an ice cream.

Walk down to the harbour. Attend the Saturday Farmer's and Vendors Market.

Watch the boats come and go. Listen to the Friday night outdoor live music.

    Visit the marina and lighthouse.

Then stroll back home to your own private waterfront retreat.

YOUR PERFECT BASE FOR THE BRUCE PENINSULA

Lion's Head is one of those rare places where adventure and relaxation exist side by side.

Spend your days exploring the Bruce Trail, swimming in the crystal-clear waters of Georgian Bay, kayaking along the rugged shoreline, visiting the Grotto and Bruce Peninsula National Park, or simply doing absolutely nothing.

At Lighthouse Lodge, "doing nothing" is actually a pretty good vacation plan.

    EVENINGS AT THE LODGE

As the afternoon turns to evening, Lighthouse Lodge really comes into its own.

Gather around the campfire, or stay cozy with the warmth of the wood-stove.

    Listen to the creek.

Watch the boats return to the marina.

Take in the changing colours over Georgian Bay.

Then settle into the comfortable lodge for a movie, conversation, games or a quiet evening with family.

With two TVs, a fully equipped modern home and generous indoor and outdoor living space, the lodge gives you the best of both worlds—the character and charm of a rustic waterfront retreat with the conveniences of a contemporary home.

A PLACE FOR FAMILIES. FRIENDS. ADVENTURES.

    Lighthouse Lodge is ideal for:

    **Family vacations**
Plenty of sleeping space, outdoor areas to explore, waterfront fun and room for everyone to gather.

    **Multi-generational getaways**
The separate bunkie provides a wonderful private space for grandparents, couples or older children. The cottage is easily accessible to those with mobility issues.

    **Hiking weekends**
Walk directly to the Bruce Trail and experience the legendary Lion's Head scenery.

    **Waterfront escapes**
Enjoy your dock, shoreline, sunsets and Georgian Bay without leaving the property.

    **Friends' getaways**
A beautiful gathering place with enough space to socialize while still offering private sleeping areas.

    **Romantic escapes**
Quiet mornings, waterfront sunsets, crackling campfires and star-filled nights.

    ---

    COME FOR THE VIEW.

    A dock.

    A campfire by the bay.

A creek and waterfall flowing through the property.

And sunsets that remind you why you came.
