Head to Northeastern Pennsylvania for all-American sporting events, casinos, historic attractions and specialized museums.

Also in Scranton, find the interesting Steamtown National Historic Site and the Electric City Trolley Museum, which explain the history of the state’s transportation systems. For something different, the Houdini Museum is an intriguing place to spend several hours learning about the master illusionist.
Join in the cheering at a raucous sporting event. Enjoy minor league baseball in Moosic in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre region, home to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Alternatively, the famous Pocono Raceway in Long Pond each year hosts two NASCAR races, offering fun for the whole family.
For outdoor adventures, head to the Pocono Mountains. The region’s natural beauty, lakes and pretty historic towns are delightful. Visit beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack, play a round of golf, raft the rivers or hike to pretty waterfalls. Alternatively, the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River is an excellent place to go kayaking or fishing.
