"I think better seating on the front porch would be nice. A swing, Adirondack chairs. I did like having a table. The view from the front porch was the best. I think with the sulfer smell a water filtration system is a must if it gets the smell out. Not sure if it would or not."

"The rental is exactly as described, clean, comfortable and in a beautiful setting. Basically in a Marina surrounded by boats. The rental process was seamless from booking through checkout.Renters should know this apartment is above a very good restaurant so you will have some sound from the kitchen and restaurant patrons. Cooking aromas come and go as well. The restaurant is Hook @ Harvey and is exceptional!There is a Kuerig coffee machine but No K Cups so take your own. The unit has step stairs to enter so if you have trouble with stairs beware. The outside trash can placement near the entry is problematic for flies entering the apartment while you are entering.These are NOT complaints but notes for the owners and renters. We loved the place and would return if in the area!"

"We had a wonderful stay! We especially loved the dog-friendly location and how easy it was to enjoy the area with our pup. Having the golf cart rental was such a fun bonus and made getting around even more enjoyable and convenient.The only small suggestion we would have is to make the dining area a little easier to access. We found ourselves needing to move furniture before and after meals, which was a bit cumbersome.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the location was fantastic. We would happily stay here again!"

"Rich and Stephanie are amazing hosts and super responsive! We had a great time at this exceptional home. It was so nice to be able to use the golf carts! We also love staying in this part of Cape Charles for access to the private beaches. It makes the stay so easy and enjoyable! We would certainly re-rent this property!"

"Host was great. View great. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. Negatives has to do with lawn service doesn’t clean outdoor shower area, Could use some hanging hooks in bathrooms for towels and dock kits. TV in family room is tough to watch from couch as it is too big. 70 inches. Like sitting in front row of IMAX theater. Lack of knives in silverware drawer. Umbrella on deck needs repair but once fixed good shade. Nice beach chairs and umbrella selection. Power cord for cart charging a plus. Door locks stick on outside. Lots games available I’m being being picky but nothing is a deal breaker. Good choice for rental."

"Cape Charles is one of our favorite beach towns and once again it did not disappoint. Our host Laura was superb and communication was very timely and helpful. The property really has some historic charm and the kitchen was quite large with a broad assortment of cooking utensils, dishes and cutlery. With a toddler and infant in tow, we very much appreciated the plethora of toddler friendly plates and bowls. Although we did not use the highchair due to our late booking of the property it was nice to know it was available. As a party of eight with ages spanning from 11 months to 86 years old, it’s often hard to please every discerning traveler. The main living area proved a little difficult to host all of us in the early morning hours when the morning humidity kept us from enjoying the two delightful porches. Our oldest member wished for more comfy couches as did our 6’ 4” son in law. The little ones were a bit crowded with their assorted toys brought from home. These comments are no way meant critically-but to help prepare others with a similar family makeup. One other item of note was the door to the powder room just off the kitchen- a lovely opaque decorative half glass door. When backlit (being used), the bathroom did not offer quite enough privacy for some. Proximity to the beach, restaurants and downtown amenities was spot on. Quiet streets and late night porch sitting were a favorite of ours. Parking in the historic district is street based but we had no trouble"
