Beach trip 2023

The house overall was very clean and nicely decorated. Smaller room upstairs bed was not very comfortable. Larger room had a great mattress. The stairs were a little trying for us older folks. Elevator was ok. Definitely red a rail of some sorts going into pool. I would rate it 4.8. Very close to most everything. Great layout for our group of 12.

Do not stay here!

We stayed at this house last week. There were 3 families (6 adults and 5 children). I was hesitant on booking since there was only 1 review. I will not make that mistake again. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4, but the cleaning staff did not finish until almost 5 for the upstairs. When I went upstairs to check out the room situation, the entire second floor smelled like cigarettes smoke. The cleaning staff were upstairs smoking on the porch with the doors open. I am not sure what they cleaned because the house was disgusting and needs a refresh. There were dead palmetto bugs on the floor, cigarette butts in the ashtray outside and clumps of hair on the ground. They did have linens and towels, but all of the towels smelled like cigarettes so we immediately washed them all. I brought my own bedding, which I am glad I did. They advertised the house as having an elevator. My 78 year old mother was coming with us and she had a knee replacement a few weeks prior. They failed to mention that the elevator was broken. The only way to get to the upstairs is an outside stairway. The pool is not maintained. You could not see the bottom. They advertised a tankless water heater, we took cold showers. The property manager came out and seemed to be unaware of anything after we had made multiple calls and left messages. She stated she would make things right for us, but we never heard back from her. We booked this place from fri-fri. I left Tuesday because it was that bad.
