"Six of us booked this house for two nights, climbing Mount Katahdin the morning after our first night. The house was great, plenty of beds and showers, and close to the park. The dishwasher was key for our larger group and fueling up. The only caution I have is if you or someone in your party is sensitive to mold or musty smells, you may want to avoid the upstairs suite and the basement. "

This is a simple rustic type place, nothing fancy, but like I said: clean, spacious, good kitchen, beds were comfy, hot water for showers. View off the deck was beautiful. "The cabin is very cute, and the view of the lake is lovely. The only negative, if you want to call it that, is that it’s 2 miles in on a dirt road, not great if you want to go back and forth often, but wonderful for peace and quiet. There is no AC or WiFi for anyone who might be looking for that, but it’s a nice little cabin for a quiet weekend or week away."

"My husband and I stayed here with our adult daughter and her fiancé. The cabin was secluded yet close to town for food and a short distance to Mt Katahdin/Baxter State Park. We were able to enjoy a campfire in the evening and watch an eagle and loons in the morning along the river. The kitchen was fully equipped where we enjoyed cooking our meals together. There was plenty of space to spread out to talk, read or watch movies and beds were comfortable. We would stay here again!"

"We stayed for a week with my 4 kids (ages 5 - 13) and parents and loved this house! It's a wonderful lake house with everything that you could possibly need.
