Great cabin!

Amazing cottage

Lovely cottage, very comfortable, has everything anyone needs, cozy. Good location, close to the main town. Central if anyone wants to go to Victoria or Nanaimo. Good communication with owner. Fabulous place, highly recommended.

Amazing cute place! From the outside it looks small, however it's so spacious inside with the two bedrooms, we loved the space in the bathrooms too, very clean, and the Hot tub was a plus! Will absolutely be coming back. Thank you for your hospitality Mich.

Location location location and a hot tub

We had a wonderful 30 day stay at The Sailors Rest. Well equipped home away from home. Paloma the dog loved the walk through the forest to the close by off leash park where she made lots of friends. The hot tub was well maintained and was a lovely end to the days after exploring Duncan and the Cowichan area.

Wonderful little cabin

We were in the area for a wedding so location was exceptional for our purposes. During the time we did stay on the property we had access to a beautiful yard, play centre and trampoline for the baby. Hot tub was a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Cabin was well stocked with cooking materials. Hosts were friendly and welcoming.

Incredible place and area

For a visit to Vancouver Island, this is the perfect location!!!! Amenities are excellent, grille, hot tub, full kitchen all in perfect working order. Communication with the owner was exceptional, JUST A WONDERFUL STAY!!! You are in the middle of VIs wine country, so kind of like an idyllic farm setting. Nanaimo and Victoria are only about 1/2 hour away, we went down several times to sit in the Victoria Harbor and took MULTIPLE ferries from Nanaimo. REALLY could not recommend this place more - very nice!!!!

Fabulous Retreat

The Sailors Rest was the best VRBO we have stayed in! It was created with love and the history of the family who owns the property ! Every single detail was well thought out and very special ! The humans and dog were equally cared for and this place truly felt like home! The decor, beds, pillows, bedding, kitchen setup and fenced yard were perfect for our family! The yard is stunning and the hot tub was welcomed!!! We will definitely be back ! Mich was an attentive and amazing host and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable throughout our stay!

Adventures at the sailors retreat

Our family had a fantastic stay at the sailors retreat. Arriving very late our first day. The hosts were extremely accomodating and we were able to get into THE vacation home without a hitch. Welcomed with such a lovely, very clean space including it being puppy proofed so that they could have an amazing stay as well. So many interesting items to see in this sailors delight and filled with everything you may need, even a rice cooker. We were so very appreciative of the information provided for what to do and see in this georgeous area. We visited the local wineries, the local fish market, antique barn, and travelled to nanaimo, comox/courtney and many beaches even one with black sand nearby. There are many good hiking trails and waterfalls to see in the area and if you miss the city you are only an hour from nanaimo and an hour from victoria. Feeling sore from all the hiking you can come back and have a soak in the hot tub enjoying the view of the tranquil yard. There is a dog park, pickle ball, walking trails and tennis courts almost next door. We made use of it all since the home was also equipped with equipment to play. Taught my kids how to play, was awesome. All i can say is that you wont be dissappiinted and it far exceeded what i expected.

A Month at Sailor's Rest

Our entire stay was excellent. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. The location was ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, golf and pickleball. There were a couple restaurants in the vicinity as well as a pub overlooking the bay. To top our stay off the weather was ideal. Will have fond memories for years to come!!
