Great Family venue

Great place! Small hiccup with check-in info, nothing that wasn't fixed promotly with a phone call. Property is a gem in the rough, great if you have a large group with small-ish kids/ teenagers. Plenty of space to distance yourself. The 3 bathrooms was definitely worth having. Back remodeled garage with video games, air hockey & bathroom was great for our teenagers! Really enjoyed the screen porch to watch the kids swim, and the washer and dryer outside. Did not know property was close to the highway or airforce base initally, but the noise from either didn't bother us. We would definitely stay again!

I messaged the host after receiving check in instructions bc it states, “that only the guests on the reservation are permitted in the residence without prior consent. We were traveling for a youth baseball tournament and I asked the host if having 1-2 families over after the games was ok and I never received a response. Host was super responsive prior to this question. The house is old and has patched up work on the walls that is not painted. I wish the host posted the surrounding neighborhood, as we would have chosen a different area. We’re not from the Charleston area, but pictures would have spoken volumes. Cockroach's smashed in picture frame in the living room. Broken picture frame in second “living room” (literally hanging on the wall busted) Broken futon in second “living room”. The picture in the listing shows a non broken futon. A positive to this listing is the pool and 3rd bathroom in detached game room area out back.

The property was exactly like the listing. Everything was great! It was so nice to have the pool. The kitchen was well stocked, too. It would have been nice to have working lounge chairs by the pool, but we still had a blast. Proximity to North Charleston coliseum was great, too.

Amazing pool

The neighborhood had houses all similar to the style of this one. It was clean and fully stocked in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels. The game room was in a separate area behind the pool and it was a great space. It had its on kitchenette and full bath. The pool was amazing and made the stay even better. It’s about 20-40 minutes to most attractions/beaches and downtown. You can hear traffic and there is an air force base nearby so you can hear planes but my son thought it was cool to see them ascending. The host is quick to respond and is very kind.

Wasn’t what I expected

Pictures need to be updated, pool wasn’t clean it had yard debris in it, pool chairs were broken, the hallway bathroom water didn’t get hot and the shower is extremely small. Things just wasn’t what I was expecting base off the pictures, sorry!

Here's a balanced, honest, and helpful review based on your experience:---3.5/5 Stars – Great Location and Pool, But Some Maintenance IssuesWe stayed at this Charleston, SC house for five nights and really enjoyed the location and having a private pool—it was perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The house was generally clean and spacious, and check-in was easy.However, there were a few issues that took away from the overall experience. The spare bathroom had mildew in the caulking, and the door would stick when closed. The pool company arrived without notice during our stay, which was a bit inconvenient. The AC did not cool the house properly but they did offer to bring window units they are working on getting it fixed, and the mattresses and pillows could definitely use an upgrade for better comfort.With a little attention to maintenance and comfort details, this place could be a solid five-star rental. Still, it was a good base for our Charleston trip, and we appreciated the space and amenities.

STAY AWAY!!! This was a nightmare vacation. The neighborhood the host said he would let me know if I could check in early after the cleaners were done. So when I got to the house I said I’m here he sent me the code to get in and after I seen the house was not like it pictured on VRBO I called him and spoke to a Jonathan he said I couldn’t enter the house it wasn’t ready so I left. Then I got a text from John the host saying he didn’t say I could go in which was a lie. But at the end of the day that was just the beginning of the nightmare. We got in the house it was 80 degrees the pool furniture was sitting by the road the trash was everywhere and the pool wasn’t clean . So I called again and he said if I got out today I could get 50% of my money back. But I was not taking only half. So we decided to go to the store I got enough food for a 5 day and to stay. Then got back to the house again and the temperature in the house was 82 degrees so I contacted John again he said the house was fine, nothing wrong with the air conditioning and it’s hot out! nothing he would do. After calling VRBO he offered me 3 days back of my money. He would keep 2 days and cleaning fee. There 4 hours! I told him we are not going to go, and we had unpacked all our stuff and bought 300.00 of food .we were staying would he buy fans he said nothing ! so I bought fans! then the toilet backed up called again nothing. for 3 dayNothin.some nice person answer saying someone would be out.never came
The pool furniture when we got there took 3 days to pick up . We never had anything to use ask them to replace it. This is why I rented this house was for the pool and pool area.
The trash when we got to the house they never came and got it so we just kept adding to it. No over choice.
Walls all over the house beat up
Bath tube where the toilet was backing up into . Never seen anyone come fix it. This is after 3 days of me asking them to come .
