Lovely spacious 6 BR home in St. Croix River valley

  • "Maple House" has plenty of comfortable upscale space for gatherings and also for quiet time away from the group. We offer 1 large bedroom with a queen bed on the main level which has it's own bathroom, a 2nd main floor bedroom with a queen + twin, and 4 upstairs bedrooms: three with queen beds and one with 2 twin beds. Other sleeping options include a large sectional couch, an outdoor style couch that would sleep one person (except winter) on the 3-season porch, and a queen double height air mattress with built in pump. In addition to the master bath, there is a small bathroom with a shower on main level and a bathroom with tub and shower upstairs, plus a nice laundry room upstairs for your use. You will enjoy an updated well-equipped kitchen, large dining room table, huge comfy "great room" with large curved screen TV with cable and high speed internet, a 3-season porch, and a patio with table & chairs, gas grill, and fire pit. We provide wood and propane. We provide spices & cooking oil, coffee beans & grinder, tea, a few pantry items like sugar and flour, and a gift of local pure maple syrup made by your hosts!

The abundance of clean, quality extra bedding was very impressive.Extra inflatable mattresses were much appreciated.Available free wood to burn was great, owner even brought over more wood. Quiet secluded neighborhood.Our kids really enjoyed the yard games that were available and the living room was very comfortable to watch sports at night. Kitchen easy to cook in , all necessary items for food prep were there. Host very responsive, you can tell the owners spend a lot of time taking care of the house. Thank you for a great stay

Maple House Vacation

Beautifully located among maple trees, a large lawn for outdoor games, and plenty of interior room to spread out, this was an ideal location for our family group! Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms!

Girls Trip

Girls Trip for 6. Wonderful accommodations and wonderful hosts. Lots of room for 6 of us to spread out. The house was very well furnished. We weren't lacking for anything. It was very clean and was very much as described. We hope to return for another trip in the future. I would highly recommend it a group.

It was our first Christmas without my husband, and I wanted to do something special for my family. The house was perfect for us to spend time together. We enjoyed walking downtown and attending Mass on Christmas Eve. We had plenty of space to play games and watch Christmas movies on a large screen. A Christmas tree was set up, and the kids were able to "trim" it. Every kitchen tool was available to make our meals, and the large table fit us all! We enjoyed the lights at Miracle at Big Rock one night. It is a great location with many things to see and do nearby! What a view! It will be a Christmas to remember! Thank you so much!

Property was as pictured, clean and cupboards well labeled. The living room is huge and yet still cozy. It’s very close to fun shops and bars. We really enjoyed the porch and fire pit (huge bonus that firewood was provided). 4 out of 7 found their beds to be comfortable. 3 of the 7 the beds were way too hard and would benefit greatly from some memory foam. It has a rating of three stars because as soon as you enter the house, it smells musty like it’s been closed up for years. We had to open all of the windows all day long to make it better and it was a little chilly for that. Then every time we would close up the house and leave, we would come back to the same musty smell.

I have never had a better VRBO experience than our stay at Maple House. Nine of us, all in our late 70s, friends for 55 years. This was our second stay, and we’ve already booked our next reunion a year from now.Everything was absolutely perfect. Beautiful home. Spotlessly clean. Fully equipped kitchen (including every drawer’s contents clearly labeled. The most complete, most detailed welcome book I’ve ever seen. Spectacular great room for gathering to spend hours together. Spacious dining room. Well-stocked bedrooms and bathrooms, with plenty of extra sheets, pillows, and towels. Beautiful grounds, adequate parking, lovely outdoor patio with seating for everyone. Working with Sydney has been a dream; speedy responses to any questions. My only hesitation in publishing this stellar review is that it might limit our ability to book the Maple House in the future if too many groups discover this gem. But I’ll take my chances: best VRBO experience ever!

50+ year college reunion

The Maple House was absolutely perfect for our group of nine women who have been gathering regularly for decades. Just perfect! Gorgeous great room for gathering; six beautiful bedrooms; three sparkling bathrooms; a refreshing screened porch; a lovely outdoor seating area; a beautiful private and wooded setting; amazingly equipped kitchen; spacious dining room; incredibly clean. Sydney and Don have thought of everything and were so accommodating. The Welcome Book was more thorough and detailed than any I’ve ever encountered. We were all beyond impressed with our hosts’ attention to detail in providing a spacious yet cozy environment for us. I’ve never stayed at a more impressive VRBO, nor have I worked with such helpful and communicative hosts (who also live next door). Our group will definitely be returning in the future.

The Maple House was incredible! It was a perfect place for our family as we prepared for my wedding. Honestly, one of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed in. The hosts are wonderful, kind, and communicative from the time we initially reached out to inquire about the house until the day we left. We greatly appreciated having the space to spread out and turn it into "wedding central" with enough space to craft the boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets, bake the "groom cookies" and even bake and decorate the wedding cake without running out of space. We greatly appreciated the abundance of towels, not only in the bathrooms, but also hanging on the back of bedroom doors which allowed us to keep track of them throughout the week. The luggage carts were an incredibly thoughtful addition and again, greatly appreciated as we made several trips in and out throughout the week. Though we didn't get a chance to use the grill or fire pit, we really loved being able to enjoy the Northwoods vibes on the property picnic table/chairs and in the sunroom. The beds were wonderfully comfortable and the extra blankets and pillows in each room were very helpful when we were relaxing on the couch or debating what temperature to keep the house. The variety of coffee brewing options was great for 7 coffee lovers and the welcome gifts were very sweet. Importantly, our dear 17-year-old dog was welcome and very comfortable during our stay. 10/10 stars - we highly recommend the Maple House!

We had a phenomenal stay at the Maple House in Taylors Falls, MN. The home was spacious and easily fit 2 couples, a family of 4, and a family of 3 - the property offered multiple spaces that allowed all of us to be together at the same time (kitchen/dining room, family room, spacious back patio/fire pit). Our host was gracious and kind! We would stay at this place again next year!

The property and amenities were exactly as advertised. The hosts were very prompt on responses and available for any questions, if needed. The bedrooms must be well insulated because it was soooo quiet even with about 10 people staying in the house. The beds were very comfortable. Even in February, the view of the river is beautiful, especially the sunrises! Our entire extended family enjoyed our stay and highly recommend! Thank you! :)
