This historic condo is perfectly situated in the heart of everything on Main Street. The spacious 2,300 square feet provide ample room to entertain and reconnect with friends and family. Enter through the iconic, most-photographed front door in Stillwater using an electric door opener, with the code provided upon booking. Please note, there is a flight and a half of stairs to reach the main living area on the second floor.
The main level features an open concept design with a large living room and sectional sofa, leading to a dining area with a table for six and a generously sized full kitchen with an island, perfect for entertaining. This level also includes a half bathroom, master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the charming Union Art Alley.
A second set of stairs takes you to the third floor, which includes three additional bedrooms, a full bathroom and laundry closet.
The final set of stairs brings you to the spectacular rooftop, adorned with twinkling lights, seating for 14 and offering a million-dollar view that provides ever-changing, breathtaking scenery.

We had a fantastic stay at the Lumberjack Inn. We were within walking distance from everything we wanted to see and do in Stillwater. The place was clean, welcoming, and comfortable. It rained a lot during our stay, so we weren't able to use the rooftop very much, but it looked like there was an incredible view from up there. Highly recommend to any group needing a good homebase to explore Stillwater from!
Perfect location and great property for multi generations! Rooms were excellent, very unique decor and amazing roof top! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
This property is an awesome location for all the things to explore downtown Stillwater. We stayed here for a girls weekend and it had plenty of space for everyone to both sleep and hang out comfortably. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed.
Excellent location.. Amazing views. Very well outfitted. It was nice to have the basics readliy available. We've stayed in places where we needed to completely stock it with even cleaning supplies. It was obvious the hosts have tried to make their guests comfortable and feel welcome. I expected parking to be challenging, but with the provided parking pass, it was a breeze. In downtown Stillwater, that should not be taken for granted.
We did a girls weekend stay. A beautiful place and the location was great if you want to explore downtown! Owners were responsive, before and during the stay when we had questions (thank you!!).I have to say, it was probably one of the best stocked VRBOs I’ve stayed at, so appreciated all the coffee, and having salt and pepper! And cleaning products available for quick clean-ups.If you have more than one vehicle, parking is offsite (free and paid options, not by choice of the owner) we choose to pay a block away. If timed right you can park in front of the door to unload! Almost all of the people in our group said the beds were comfortable (firm mattresses). Lots of stairs- expected in an old building and above the shops. Love the Long Island in the kitchen and the bar area to set up the bottles you may bring. VRBO guests: Don’t forget to sign out of your accounts on the smart TVs
A great lift with four bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths. Amazing location - steps from food, drink, shops and everything one would need. 5 mins from the St Croix River. Great host - very responsive and flexible. Would absolutely stay again and again.
I would love to stay again when the weather allows for outside play on the balcony. Quiet building. There was plenty of space for sleeping and kids play. Thank you!
Fabulous location for a Stillwater wedding. Bride and Bridesmaids stayed before the wedding. Tiny walk to the JX event center. Beautiful views, plenty of space (even had the hair and makeup done here before wedding) and hosts very quick to respond! Absolutely perfect!
Lumberjack Inn was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. The location was great and the beds were comfortable. The coffee was a nice touch, too. Had the weather been warmer we would’ve loved the rooftop patio. A couple notes for the owner: the freezer and fridge need to be thawed. Upon arrival the water pitcher in the fridge was frozen. We attempted to lower the fridge temp but still ended up with lost produce due to freezing. We experienced a leak down to the kitchen when the upstairs shower was in use. While we appreciated the sheets for the twin mattress, we would’ve loved an extra blanket.

Almost Great
The space was as expected, aesthetically. Very modern. Clean. Lots of space. Cool downtown location. Our group was there on VERY hot summer days. The a/c units could not keep up especially as we were bringing in luggage and opening the door frequently. We purchased a few more fans to move air around the rental for comfort. One unit had a hose leaking so there was a bowl and towel on the floor for the duration of our stay. The owners knew and said someone was coming when they didn’t have renters. Parking in the paid ramp is easiest. Using the permit provided for one car with the rental proved to be challenging as the local lots are not labeled the way that the maps are. We spent half an hour trying to figure out if we could park free overnight anywhere before giving up and using the paid ramp. We did not use the rooftop as we saw bees/wasps flying underneath the covers. When I told the owners, they said they’d had someone spray earlier in the summer for the same problem and would have to do it again. On night two of our stay, there was a severe storm which caused a power outage. We were all trying to save battery to communicate with our families (severe weather at home as well) so we went looking for flashlights. There were none. Texted with property owners and they said someone must have taken them and to use our phones if needed. No other offer of help or suggestion. Roof leaked near loft bedroom during rains both nights. Told owners about all issues, no remedy.
Everything was outstanding! Great communication, well stocked with extra amenities like coffee, hand soaps and lotions, fans! Beds were very comfortable. We’ve stayed in Many VRBOs and appreciate that Sunny certainly knows how to go the extra mile for her guests! Thank you!
Enjoyed the stay very much! Sunny was a fantastic host & responded promptly with any issues. We absolutely loved the location & rooftop patio overlooking the St. Croix river. My family had a fantastic experience on the property & added to a great time over the weekend celebrating our nephew’s wedding!
We loved our stay at the Lumberjack! Everything was great, clean, and the rooftop space and view were so amazing, especially in the morning before exploring Stillwater or in the evening!!! Definitely would stay here again!Vicki
