"Truly beautiful house in an amazing setting. Felt nice and remote but easy and quick access to local amenities in Kinneuchar and Elie. Property decorated and furnished to perfection with a great outdoor space.Great communication from the host who was always prompt to reply. My constructive feedback would perhaps be some more comfortable outdoor furniture for lounging. It's excellent for dining outside but that could be wonderfully complemented with some outdoor lounging.Only other feedback is to...

"The toilet was so high up i couldn't do a sh*t. I'm six foot tall, but when I was sat on the toilet my feet were not touching the ground. Overall, the place was pretty bleak, e.g. no mirror in the bedroom to check my outfit, only one pillow so I got neck ache in bed, no towel rail or hooks anywhere in the bathroom so couldn't hang up a towel, no hook in the bedroom to hang up a coat, no toilet roll holder. These things are not expensive to install. The bathroom floor was a bit dirty when...

Top North Berwick Hotel Reviews

YOTEL Edinburgh, Select by Hilton

10/10 Excellent

"Clean room, breakfast"

Market Street Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We arrived a bit early. The receptionist was very pleasant and let us know a room was being cleaned and would be ready shortly. We waited in the bar area, which was comfortable and there were nice views. She gave us complimentary glasses of champagne while we waited. When the room was ready, we were told the stocked fridge was complimentary. There was a nice variety of beverages. Spacious room. We were wet from traveling in the rain. I was able to hang some things to help them to dry out faster. Robes and slippers were provided, The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t get to take advantage of all that was offered because we had to leave in early morning to catch bus to airport. The bus stop isn’t too far away, but you have to walk up hill to get to the street it is on. It was convenient; I’m just not in great shape. I’m glad to say it wasn’t raining that morning, so we were able to stay dry for our travels. The hotel will also hold your luggage for you if it’s not time to check in, so you don’t have to wander around with all the baggage."

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by The Unlimited Collection

8/10 Good

"If this hotel were half the price, I would say 5 star. However, it wasn’t. Pros: the man checking us out was phenomenal. The view is unmatched, location is great if you are looking to shop. Cons: linens were very low end. Towels and bathrobe were extremely cheap. No wash cloths(I know this is norm, but not at nice hotels.) don’t get me started on the small flat pillows. Tea kettle was dirty. We stayed in Grassmarket with a balcony and castle view for much less and was infinitely better quality and attention to details. There is a huge opportunity to make this a phenomenal hotel if some tweaks are done."
