Our favourite place to retreat
Our fourth stay at The Lobster was as relaxed as ever! Due to an unexpected heatwave we spent much more time in the outdoor bath than usual which was wonderful. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Beautiful home away from home!
We couldn't have found a more lovely, well maintained property to stay at! Bronnie communicated all of the details and was a pleasure to talk to. The bedrooms & living area are relaxing, lovely soft couches and beds. Loved playing the fun board games provided and outdoor quoits on the soft grass. There's even an outdoor bath/shower with hot water after coming back from a day on the beach! Make sure you spend some time sitting on the large back deck while parrots, willywag tales and family birds move about the gardens. Can't wait to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Lobster. Pip’s communication was prompt and helpful. The house was clean and very well presented. It had a relaxed style and beautiful front gardens to enjoy. It is close to all amenities. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay
Perfect property which is quiet, but close enough to walk to the cafes and shops. The house has a wonderful atmosphere and plenty of places outside to enjoy beautiful weather. Communication with the owner was great.

Perfect for young family
It was just perfect size for our small family. Clean and cozy, beautiful garden and our 3yo enjoyed the cubby house and sand pit so much. So close to the Normanville town center and beach, yet so quiet in the night. Beautiful night sky. Pip was so easy to communicate too. We would love to visit again and 10/10 recommend to other people. Thank you!

Second timers!
After staying in holiday homes for 23years this is the ONLY place we have ever revisited. Its dog friendly, has a beautiful garden, linen supplied, lovely location. it’s a cosy, clean and charming home and the communication with the host is the best I’ve ever encountered.

5 Stars for the lobster house
5 stars for the lobster house! My partner doggo and I were looking for a little weekend getaway and the lobster house was perfect! Nice and bright and warm. This winter has been freezing and we were toasty the whole time. Overlooking a lush green garden, the fields and sand hills and super close to the Main Street, we didn’t want to leave. Lobster house is the perfect amount of 70’s kitsch versus modern comforts. We will be back. Thanks so much for having us pip!

Loved it!
When we go away we want to take as little as possible so to have linen was a huge bonus! We made the decision to go away the night before and the communication was fast and helpful. Beautiful garden areas for kids and dog. Comfy beds and pillows. We were only in the house 10mins before working out when we could come back again! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Making memories
Our third stay at The Lobster was full of surprise and delight. Our daughter loved playing cafe in the new cubby house and spent hours in the sandpit building castles. We saw crabs in the ocean and relaxed in the garden tub as always! Thanks Pip and Graham for continuing to create a special sanctuary for families to enjoy!

Character, comfort and convenience.
Upon arrival, the character of this property was immediately apparent. The children took over the upstairs bedrooms and really valued the outlook. Downstairs was a great space for relaxing as a family. The highlight for us was the outdoor space, with a beautiful bird-attracting garden, which we enjoyed sitting in for our morning and afternoon coffees. The location warrants special mention, with the area being quiet and safe; the children would stroll into the bakery to pick up some treats, and we could be at beautiful beaches in 2 minutes by car.

Leisurely Lobster
Great experience from start to finish, beautiful garden setting to relax in. Had a little trouble with the cooktop and pans but that could be our inexperience with induction cooking. Had a great time touring the Fleurieu from Normanville and coming home to the Lobster.

A house with a really nice atmosphere
The house has a really nice atmosphere & a lovely outlook over the front garden. We were there during very rough weather (severe weather warnings) but felt very comfortable inside watching the weather pass by. Convenient location too, easy walking distance to beach, shops & to look around.

Another lovely stay at The Lobster
The Lobster has now become my go to destination for rest and recharging. Another fabulous stay, couldn't ask for anything more. A beautiful home that is only outdone by the most gorgeous gardens that are excellently maintained. Situated a stones throw away from everything you could need...shops, restaurants, cafe's, beaches and walking trails. And the perfect place to stay if you want to bring your four-legged family members as well. Already planning my next stay!

A bright and happy place
The house is so cute, it felt like staying at a friend's house. I love the upstairs bedroom with its big wooden ceiling fan the most. The experience was so peaceful, with a back deck that is great for yoga and sun bathing. We would love to come to the lobster for another restorative girls weekend. Thank you so much for having us!

Our stay was good for a family of 5 (including old age parents) but was disappointed due to dripping upstairs wash basin due to which toilet upstairs become useless and we all had to use downstairs toilet n wash basin which was very inconvenient.

Gorgeous house with cottage garden and lovely patio.
Really enjoyed staying at The Lobster and intend to return in the future. Very comfortable and loved watching the blue wren visit every day. Walking distance to the Main Street and a short drive to Normanville or Carickalinga beaches which are both stunning. Lovely bottle of wine awaiting us which was a nice surprise and went down a treat. Our dog enjoyed his stay and was safe due to fencing around the property. Highly recommend!

A weekend at The Lobster
This is a gorgeous family beach house. The lobster was so inviting and yard was just perfect for our little one and our dog Mango to run around in all day long. Great location close to all amenities and the surrounding beaches. The owner was so kind offering as a early and late checkout so we were really able to make the most of our stay. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you so much Pip and Graham we can’t wait to book again.

Best Weekend !
The Lobster is one of the nicest places I've stayed in South Australia. The house is extremely well equipped, spacious, and has many thoughtful touches. The garden space is beautiful! The front garden especially is stunning, with the big centre tree and expansive deck being ideal spots to relax under and enjoy an outdoor meal. The host, Pip, was consistently prompt and clear in her communication, was supportive of our needs for the house and was so friendly to interact with. We will definitely be returning & I'd recommend this special house to everyone!

We had a lovely stay at the Lobster House. From the start it was an easy booking process with very quick responses from the property manager to my initial enquiries. The welcome gift of a bottle of bubbly in the fridge & a little arrangement of flowers from the garden on the kitchen bench were really nice extra touches. The house & garden were surprisingly even better in real life compared to the photos. The property was clean & well maintained & also really well stocked with pretty much everything you need for a comfortable holiday (although a bit short on wine glasses but there were a few broken ones in the outside bin so probably there hadn’t been the opportunity to replace them yet). The location was also fantastic & an easy walking distance to town & the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing
