"I have mobility issues so booked a ground floor room. When we checked in we were told to use the stairs to the first floor, there was no mention of a lift. We had been given a room with a mezzanine floor.The room was sparsely furnished, no bedside lamps, drawers, pictures or hanging space but apparently there was hanging space upstairs. There were no USB ports. When I opened the curtains the metal curtain pole fell down and hit me on the head. It appeared to have been wedged up with tissue."

"A spotlessly clean hotel with well decorated rooms. However, our room was very small for a Standard Double room. The bed too, by modern standards, was small. We booked this hotel as it had a restaurant, but the only meal on offer were pizzas, which would have been fine if small changes could have been made to suit our diet. As the pizzas were brought in and just cooked on the premises, this wasn’t possible. Fortunately, there were a number of restaurants nearby which were recommended to us. There is no lift, so people with disabilities may have difficulty getting to the upper floors. The hotel was well situated for catching an early morning ferry and private parking for a small fee was a bonus."

"We grew to love this place. We had a deluxe room which was one of the largest. At first it felt small but once we organized our belongings, we found it comfortable and charming. The bath is modernized and lighting and power outlets abundant. The grounds are very pretty and full of history. The daily cleanings were thorough and appreciated. My only suggestion would be to enhance the seating. We had a desk chair and small side chair leaving only the bed as a place to relax after a long day of touring sites. We would definitely come back "

"On arrival we were immediately told "no breakfast" which was really disappointing since we had a long journey ahead of us and would have liked at least a coffee to start the day! We ended up at a nearby bar and bought coffee and fortunately, the last 2 croissants they had. The room did not smell very pleasant and we would not stay again."
