It is located in the quiet village of Olzai, right in the middle of the island, far from massive hotel complexes and mass tourism, while all the surrounding beaches are easily reachable by rental car within an hour or two. We got to visit a different beach each day. The stay was incredibly pleasant; everything was new and clean, and the landlady is an absolute gem! We would love to come back!!!"

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Noragugume?
The best area to stay in Noragugume is within the village centre itself.

Noragugume is a small, traditional Sardinian village, and its centre is the main focal point. You'll find the parish church of Santa Croce, a few local shops, and the town hall here. The streets are narrow and winding, typical of a historic Sardinian settlement, and the pace of life is relaxed.

For travellers looking for an authentic and quiet Italian village experience, staying in the centre is ideal. It provides direct access to the local community and a chance to experience daily village life.
When is the best time to go to Noragugume?
When planning a trip to Noragugume, Sardinia, the best times to visit are during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October). These periods offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and a more relaxed experience compared to the peak summer months.

Spring in Noragugume is particularly lovely, with temperatures ranging from 18°C to 25°C. The Sardinian countryside is lush and green, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty around the village, such as the numerous Nuragic archaeological sites. It's a great time for couples who enjoy hiking and discovering ancient history without the intense heat.

Autumn also provides excellent weather, with temperatures typically between 20°C and 28°C. The sea is still warm enough for swimming until late October, and the grape harvest season brings local festivals and culinary delights. This period is superb for travellers looking to experience authentic Sardinian culture and cuisine, perhaps taking part in a local food and wine tour.

While July and August offer the warmest temperatures, often exceeding 30°C, Noragugume can get very busy with holidaymakers.
