"Wonderful location on a secluded island in the centre of Stockholm. It is about a 15 minute walk to Gamla Stan.
The hotel is a historic building in which great care has been taken with the design inside and out. We loved the gardens and it was wonderful to sit outside on the terrace to have breakfast in the glorious summer sunshine. The breakfast was very good- freshly prepared with quality ingredients. "Very convenient to central station can walk in two minutes. I meant to stay here only one night to catch an early train to Copenhagen. Value price, clean comfortable rooms. I ended up having a medical emergency and had to change my travel plans and stayed three nights. The staff was most helpful and rarely have had such caring customer service. "

We returned to our room after our day sightseeing with turn down service and sparkling water on the bed stand. The breakfast was delicious and had made to order choices as well as a full buffet. It also had AC which is not always available at Scandinavian hotels. We rented bikes from the hotel and biked all around Stockholm. Thank you Hotel Rival for a wonderful 4 night stay! "
