"The photos are accurate. The place is very clean and updated. The beds were comfortable. The parking spot fit a Toyota Noah van with maneuvering. Our family of 4 would come back. Two block walk from the river if you wanted a morning walk or jog along it. FYI the flight of stairs to living quarters is steep, narrow and approximately 20. You will need to be able to carry your suitcases up, especially difficult if large and heavy."

"The apartment is new and is located right at the center, close to restaurants, cafe, station... However, there is no utensils, e.g. fork, spoon... There is not enough towels for 8 of us. "Absolutely brilliant hotel. Extremely helpful staff. Terrific Fitness Center. A wonderful room with plenty of space to actually unpack (sometimes rare in Japanese hotel rooms), comfortable bedding, and a state-of-the-art bathroom. Breakfast revolved around locally grown food. It was both tasty and interesting. My guess is that the place really shines during ski season with its spa, fireplace in the central bar area and location. Only downside was that there is construction going and the hotel parking lot would only hold perhaps 15 cars. With it not being ski season during our visit, the hotel was using the ski lift parking loft a couple blocks up the hill to handle overflow."

"We are a family of four and stayed here for one night. The staff spoke limited English, but they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were able to communicate without any problems. This is an older, traditional Japanese hotel. It’s not luxurious, but that’s exactly the kind of authentic experience we were looking for. Guests can enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks, including beer, in the lounge, which was a wonderful touch. My husband and I are heavily tattooed, and we were welcomed into the onsen without any issues, which was a huge bonus for us. The dinner was excellent! I highly recommend booking a meal plan, as the hotel is located in the mountains and there are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially relaxing in the onsen. We would happily stay here again!"
