"We spent over four hours traveling to the hotel through a snowstorm and arrived close to midnight. We noticed that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, including the lobby that initially caught our attention on the website. I completely understand that renovations are sometimes necessary. However, after such a long and tiring journey, it was a bit difficult to be woken up around 7 a.m. due to noise from a lock being replaced in a nearby room. I just wanted to share this as feedback, as rest was especially important for us after the trip"

"Horrible. For the amount we paid for the weekend we expected better. Upon arrival there was a sign the pool and hot tub were out, the side door to get in the building had no lock on it, we entered the room to find no smoke detector, a broken bathroom door and a broken dresser, no screen on the window, and stains on both of the blankets and sheets of both beds. When brought that to the clerks attention he wasn't very helpful. The next morning after calling customer service the desk clerk was trying to help us. He was trying to get the manager to call us and sent maintenance in to put in a smoke detector later in the day. I understand that the hotel was under new management and construction but informing people on that on the website that would be helpful not at checkin. Saturday we waited around the hotel room until almost 2pm waiting on a call from the manager. We wasted the day waiting so we left. Still no call all day. Sunday we went to check out at 10am and still no phone call from the manager. The desk clerk was very apologetic and said he tried numerous times to contact her. We left with no phone call, nothing from the manager. Management needs to do better."

"PILLOWS WERE TERRIBLE, TOLIET DIDNT WORK. ARRIVED AN HOUR EARLY, CHARGED ME $30 EARLY CHECK IN....WTH?? STAYED AT VERY NICE HOTE K S NEVER CHARGED AN EARLY FEE. NOT A HAPPY STAY AT ALL."

"Staff was very accommodating. I drove 14 hours one way and was exhausted by the time I got there. They didn’t even charge me since I got in so late. Then I had to leave early to get ahead of the blizzard awaiting me in the northeast and they refunded my last night without me even asking. I just told them we had to get on the road due to the weather and she did it of her own volition. The rooms are basic but clean, and conveniently located to tons of dining options. Largely chains, which is cool with us because we live ijn semi-rural New Hampshire and don’t have a lot of those near us! We were in town for Junior Parents’ Weekend at Notre Dame and it’s only 20 minutes down the road from South Bend. I would stay again. It’s nothing fancy but I don’t tend to stay in my room when on vacation! "
