"We only stayed one night and did not get the chance to enjoy all that the hotel has to offer, but very much enjoyed our stay. The staff at reception at check in, check out and when we asked for some help about getting to our evening activity were all great. Very helpful, happy and friendly. They spoke very good English too, which was very helpful as our Japanese is limited to the very basic, polite phrases.
While we didn’t have a chance to use it, we had a look at the lounge, at and it had great views (and free coffee machine). Also free coffee machine in the foyer for guest use.
Close to station, so very easy to get around. Also easy to find. Morning market only a block away too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we came back to Hakodate. Special thanks to the staff for being so welcoming."
"The breakfast buffet was amazing and the variety allows you to do a full our Japanese food in one place! The hotel is beautiful on the inside and the rooms are definitely in the upper echelon of size that can be found in Hakodate! One more plus...wait for it....THEY HAVE A FITNESS CENTER! This is probably the only hotel in Hakodate that actually took the time to accommodate the fitness minded tourists! I travel to Hakodate probably 2 times a year and this will be my hotel that I stay at for all of my future stays. This hotel is amazing!"
"This is one of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed in our rather extensive international travels in the past two decades — quiet, stylish, elegant and aesthetic, more like an art museum with books, paintings, sculptures, historical train models. It locates inside a national park and directly connected to a very private lake. Most impressive is its staff who are so kind, patient, profesional, putting extra efforts into making our stay enjoyable. Many guests stayed there were Japanese and had their own cars, but we had to depend on the hotel shuttle. The driver of the hotel picked us at Shin-Hakodate Station, took us to the town which is rather far away, and dropped us off at another train station. We cannot thank him, as well as other helpful staff, enough! The dinner at hotel restaurant booked out when we arrived, but we had two breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The quality of food was absolutely first-class, fresh and delicious. We read great things about this resort before we booked it, but our actual experience is way beyond we expected. We recommend wholeheartedly!"
"As with other OMO hotels this place is very nice. Conveniently located to the JR station and some great restaurants. The bed was very comfortable and the room is well laid out and spacious. The onsen and 2F common space is lovely! Unfortunately, contrary to most other hotels in Japan, OMO does not provide any coffee for the room. It is a small issue but an inconvenience to go out and buy coffee."
"It was honestly one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed in. The bunk was basically a small room, the showers and bathrooms were very clean, there were towels and soaps and other toiletries available. The community lounge area has a water dispenser, a vending machine, a washer and dryer, and a TV that anyone could use. I would definitely stay again."
