How do I get to my accommodation in Nice on arrival
I chose to arrive by air
Upon arrival at the airport, a wide choice of transport is available to you to get to your apartment:
The tram – The most economical: Line 2 will depart in front of terminals 1 & 2, serves the entire city on the Sea Side, from the airport to Nice Port, in 25 minutes. All stations pass through Fabron, Grosso & Gambetta for the Flowers district, Alsace Lorraine and Jean Médecin for the Musicians, Gold or Masséna districts, the Pine district and finally the Port district.
A connection with line 1 is made at JEAN MÉDECIN Station.
A connection with line 3 is made at GRAND ARÉNAS Station.
Taxis: The most direct: They are available at each terminal 1 & 2. 15 minutes will be enough to drop you off directly at your apartment. There is an official fixed rate that must be applied + baggage charges. Make sure you enquire and specify it to the driver; he cannot refuse it. Normally, payment is by credit card.
The bus: The airport shuttle (bus 98) is both economical and convenient. It runs every twenty minutes during the day and will drop you off in the centre, near Nice Thiers Station.
I chose to arrive by train
The tram – The most affordable: To get to line no. 1, exit on the left side of the station and head down towards Avenue Thiers until Avenue Jean Médecin (it's indicated by signage). Trams pass every five minutes and tickets are inexpensive. Line 1 serves the centre and the two northern districts of Nice.
A connection with line 3 is available at GRAND ARÉNAS Station.
A connection with Line 2 (Airport / Port) is at JEAN MÉDECIN Station.
Taxis: The most direct: 15 minutes will be enough to drop you off directly at your apartment. There is no fixed fare. The driver must obligatorily activate their meter before leaving the station. You will only have to pay the fare displayed upon your arrival + the baggage fee. Make sure to enquire and specify this to the driver; they cannot refuse you. Normally, payment is by credit card.
