"The 'Aviemore' hotel block is dated but despite this the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. We used the pool with our kids however the water was very cold and we didn't stay long. The whole resort has plenty to offer and is good for a family stay but it could do with some areas being refreshed soon."
"Lovely little place! We had a wonderful experience. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had great amenities. Highly suggest a stay!"
"This is a beautiful hotel which we will return to for a longer stay. Lovely location on the shores of Loch Rannoch. We didn't use the spa facilities but did have a look and the pool is a proper swimming pool which is great. Next time I will bring my kit, although I believe a lot of people swim in the loch. Our room was beautifully furnished and high quality toiletries are supplied for the shower.
The staff on reception and at breakfast were very professional, friendly and helpful and very smartly dressed.
The bar area has a number of games for wet and wild evenings, and playing cards are available on request.
The only area I'm not so sure about is the kitchen. Our steaks were overdone, and when I asked for information on the cheeses provided on the cheeseboard, I got no more information than 'a Scottish brie' - it's a bit like saying the wine is a French white . That might be acceptable, but not in a restaurant which purports to be fine dining, At breakfast, the porridge served was almost raw oats, but the buffet had a tremendous selection of beautiful produce. It's just a shame that the plates are not hot for the hot food,"
"Comfy big bed and nice big room. Everything you could want for an overnight stay. Staff were super helpful and friendly and I would say the hotel's biggest asset. The furnishings and decor are a bit tired and dated and really could do with upgrading."
