The rooms are clean, big and super comfortable. The location is 15-20 minutes from downtown Newport. We went for a labor day wedding and the prices of hotels in Newport were incredibly unaffordable for us, so this was the perfect solution. We got an Uber to get to an evening wedding on the water and everything worked out perfectly.

Very Nice Stay!

Great staff! My wife and I were greeted with a warm and genuine smile. It was a smooth transition checking in and out. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a good selection of food items for the free breakfast.The price was a bit high, but.would stay again.

Middletown gem

Room was fine. AC could have worked better and curtains weren’t quite dark enough. Checkin/out was great. Great location to Naval base and down the road from great donuts and coffee.

The room had an unusual odor, possibly due to its kitchen, resulting in furniture carrying cooking smells. The sofa appeared worn and torn. However, the common areas were well-maintained, clean, and the breakfast was enjoyable.

We have stayed at this property before, and it is convenient and a pretty good hotel. However, in comparison with the Residence Inn we just stayed at last month in Washington, DC, this one failed us in a several ways: 1) Breakfast--powered eggs, all breads wrapped in plastic, pre-packaged stuff.... 2) television couldn't hook into our Netflix or Hulu accounts... 3) rollaway came as a folded-in-half bed and was terribly uncomfortable. Staff was kind, and quick to help.

My bff & I have been staying at this Residence Inn for about 10 yrs & always book a 2 bedrm suite. We come in early Dec. to do Christmas shopping in & around Newport. We used to stay at B&B's but it got to be too expensive. The Res Inn is perfect for us. We each have our own bathroom allowing us to get ready at the same time. We each have our own bedroom which allows us to not disturb each other. The beds & pillows are sooo comfortable. The rooms are clean. & having a kitchen area is a plus. We usually don't cook but make coffee, tea or warm up something & use the refrigerator. The free breakfast is a plus. Parking is easy, right on the property. The only negative is that the 2nd bedroom does not have a full length mirror. I would appreciate having one in that bedroom. We will continue to stay at this Res Inn for as long as we come to Newport for Xmas shopping!
