Authentic Log Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains Family and Pet friendly

Are you looking for a wonderful vacation spot with beautiful mountain views, are you a pleasure seeker who enjoys hiking, white water rafting, or fly fishing, or do you just want to get away from it all? Whether planning a family vacation, a honeymoon or a long weekend getaway this is the place for you. AUTHENTIC LOG CABIN, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps 6 comfortably, centrally located in the heart of Avery County in Newland, North Carolina. We are close to all the High Country attractions, Grandfather Mountain, Beech and Sugar Mountain ski slopes, Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock, Appalachian State University, Linville River Falls, not to mention the finest collection of public golf courses in the area. The single residence is located on a private road shared with only one other cabin, in a secluded mountain with breath taking views.

From the outside the cabin looks very old, the structure was built from 10x10 logs salvaged from antique homes. On the inside, the cabin is equipped with all the modern conveniences. Washer and dryer, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, glass top stove with oven are all provided. Kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pot and pans, crock pot and coffee maker.

The master bedroom loft has a king size bed and a full bath that features an old fashion claw foot tub. The downstairs bedroom has two twin beds that can be pushed together. The living room has a sleeper sofa. All linens and towels are provided. Fire Pit and chairs and charcoal grill outside.

There is a gas fireplace inside. Control is on the wall behind the couch. Timer 30 min 60 min or 120 min. Turn off when you leave the cabin and at checkout. There is a firepit outside, bring wood.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Rules

Load dishwasher and run it the day you leave. Metal trash can on the back porch for excess trash put the lid on tight to keep the critters out.
Charcoal grill off the back porch. Bring charcoal grill off the back bring charcoal as I never know what travelers leave.
Gas fireplace on off switch is on the hearth in front of screen. Be sure to turn off when you leave cabin for the day/bedtime/departure Baseboard heat

Tranquil Get-Away

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfect for a family of four. It is in a secluded area providing so much relaxation and peace, but still close enough to the towns in the area.

Labor Day weekend mountain get away

Great Getaway

The front porch was one of our favorite places, to sit in the rocking chairs and take in the view. The cabin had pretty much everything we could need for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect retreat

This cute cabin sits on a hillside in splendid near-isolation. Beautifully decorated and comfortable, just what we needed to get away from the heat for a few days. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby, along with hiking trails and a boating lake.

A great place to stay

We were looking for a quiet place to stay that was pet friendly and this cabin was perfect. The view from the front porch was beautiful and seeing deer in the front yard was hard to beat. The owners Debbie and Don were great to work with. We will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful, peaceful cabin

This was our second stay at this beautiful log cabin— peaceful, well-kept grounds, comfortable, cozy, and very clean. This cabin has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The view from the porch is gorgeous. We love to sit there on the rocking chairs with a glass of wine.

This is a beautiful, well-equipped log cabin on well-kept grounds up in the mountains. It was so peaceful and relaxing to stay there. The host communicates very well and our experience couldn’t have been more enjoyable. We hope to return next year.

Beautiful and quite spot tucked away.

Perfect little cabin with everything needed included. Lots of wild life and close to some awesome waterfalls and hiking. I would stay again. The WI-FI was intermittent but pretty normal for the area.
